Chapter 127 I Want To See Vincent
‘Making love-
Just the thought sent a wave of heat through me, making my heart pound.
Before I could stop myself, my mind started conjuring up images–scenes so vivid they made my checks burn.
I couldn’t help but wonder–what would Ryan be like in bed?
Then, my thoughts drifted to the baby growing inside me, and curiosity took hold. ‘How exactly had he gotten me pregnant?”
Wait.
My mind screeched to a halt, alarms blaring.
What the hell was I thinking? I was actually fantasizing about Ryan’s body?
I must be losing my damn mind.
Snapping out of it, I quickly smacked my cheeks, trying to shake off the ridiculous thoughts.
Get a grip, I scolded myself. Stay calm. Stay in control.
We continued our meal, occasionally clinking our glasses as we talked.
Yet, for some reason, this whole scene felt oddly familiar.
The dinner table, the red wine, the way he looked at me–It was as if I had lived this exact moment
before.
Had this not been the first time Ryan and I shared such a romantic dinner? But–why couldn’t i
remember?
I tried to dig through my memories, but my mind remained frustratingly blank. All I was left with was a strange, lingering emotion pressing against my chest.
Shaking off the thought, I glanced at Ryan, who had already downed several cocktails. Unable to hold back, I asked, “Are you okay? You’re not going to get drunk, are you?”
Ryan shook his head, his gaze locked onto me.
Under his intense stare, my entire body felt like it was heating up. Flustered, I asked, “Do I have something on my face?”
A small smirk tugged at his lips, his voice impossibly tender, “No. I just want to look at my wife a little longer.”
I froze, my pulse skipping. To hide my reaction, I took several quick sips of my juice, trying to steady my emotions.
Once I finally pulled myself together, I changed the subject, “I’m feeling much better now. When can we go back to Harborbrook?”

Ryan’s brows furrowed slightly, though hin voice remained warm, “Gabby, I know you want to visit your grandmother’s grave–but right now, I’m tied up with some complicated malters. Can you wait a little longer?”
There was sincerity in his tone, and I didn’t want to make things difficult for him.
“That’s fine, I can wait. Your work is important–there’s no rush,” I said with a reassuring smile. “Or, I could go back to Harborbrook on my own.”
At that, Ryan’s expression changed instantly, “No
I blinked in surprise, “Why not? Can’t I go back alone?”
His gaze flickered, and after a brief pause, he finally answered, “You’re pregnant. I wouldn’t be at
ease”
Fair enough. To him, I wasn’t just his wife–I was carrying his child.
Ryan valued both me and the baby, so it made sense that he’d be protective.
“Alright then, we’ll go to Harborbrook together when the time comes.” I nodded before hesitating slightly, then added, “But–I also want to go back to the Hudson estate with you.”
Ryan’s expression stiffened instantly.
“The Hudson estate?” He frowned slightly, his gaze turning unreadable.
“Yeah.” I nodded, keeping my tone casual. “After all, your family should want to meet me and know about the baby, right? And your father is still in the hospital–I should visit him.”
Of course, that wasn’t the only reason I wanted to visit the Hudson estate.
What I truly wanted–was to see Vincent Hudson.
That name had been circling in my mind for far too long, bringing nothing but confusion and unease.
I needed to know–who exactly was that man to me?
