Mark organized a press conference and happily announced his engagement before he blatantly started flirting with Rachel online.
Mark: Wherever I go, in the end, it’s still you.
Rachel: No matter who I look at, in the end, it’s still you.
Their ex–classmates came forward to give them their blessings.
[You’re finally together! Congrats!]
[The childhood sweethearts are now going to exchange rings! My faith in love has been restored.]
Jacob’s comment stood out like a sore thumb right then. [Have you found Jane yet?]
Mark replied to his comment and pinned it. [How can I find her if you decide to hide her?]
The implications behind Mark’s words were clear, and Jacob was insulted and cursed at by countless people on the internet.
But that was not enough. They revealed the fact that I was a wilderness explorer in the past and started creating all sorts of rumors about me.
[I heard that wilderness explorers can be really loose. Did she get her position as leader by sleeping around?]
[It’s no wonder she managed to get married to Mr. Frank in the past. It must be because she’s really experienced!]
Some people even used Al to put my face on indecent videos, and plenty of fake videos started spreading.
All those insults toward me hurt me through my entire being, but Mark did not stop it.
He even liked some of the comments.
He stared at his phone’s screen and seemed really happy about it. “Jane, let’s see how long you can keep quiet about this before you come forward!”
I screamed, yelled, and tried to hit him, but I could only watch as my hand passed through
Mark’s face.
Mark and Rachel’s engagement party was to be held at the most luxurious hotel in the city.
But Mark’s parents did not seem happy at all.

In the past, they were against Mark marrying me.
During the years I had tried to get pregnant, I did not tell him that the pregnancy trouble was because of him in order to spare his ego. In the end, I could no longer handle the stress and told my in–laws the truth.
From then on, their attitudes toward me changed.
When I became pregnant with the twins, they treated me like their own daughter.
“Mark, I don’t care how many women you want to marry, but you have to find Jane! Her babies are Frank Corporation’s only heirs!” Lewis Frank, Mark’s father, snapped.
“Don’t worry. She’ll show up today.” Mark looked confident and occasionally looked toward the entrance of the hotel.
My soul was bound to Mark, but I did not know what he was trying to pull.
Then, when Jacob showed up, Mark immediately stood up to welcome him.
But the empty spot beside him made Mark look momentarily dejected.
He immediately called for the bodyguards hiding on the balcony of the hotel and whispered,” Search through Jacob’s car. If you find even a strand of Jane’s hair, report to me.”
He then lit up a cigarette.
He smoked quickly and fiercely; it made him cough nonstop.
The bodyguards soon returned.
“Mr. Frank, we found no traces of Mrs. Frank, not even a strand of her hair…”
“Damn it! Where is she hiding?!”
Mark was enraged and slammed his hand against the hotel’s balustrade.
A bodyguard looked up. He looked like he had something to say.
When Mark returned from the balcony, the guests had started leaving.
Jacob stormed over and grabbed Mark’s collar. “You smashed my car?!”
Mark avoided his gaze but still yelled back, “If you have any sense in you, hand Jane over! Otherwise, it won’t be just your car I’ll be smashing!”
Jacob shot back, “Just how long are you going to continue lying to yourself, Mark?”
