Chapter 111 Vincent Again?
I jumped out of bed, headed straight to the bathroom to freshen up, and changed into something comfortable.
As the moment I stepped out of the bedroom, I found Nina standing at
the door.
She greeted me politely, “Good morning, Mrs. Hudson. Where are you
headed?”
I smiled and replied, “I just want to take a walk.”
She frowned slightly, her voice gentle but firm, “Mrs. Hudson, the doctor said you need to rest and recover. Please don’t go too far. If
you’d like, I can accompany you.”
I shook my head, “No need. I’m just going for just a short stroll. I’ll be
back soon.”
She hesitated for a moment but eventually nodded without pressing
further.

As I wandered around the villa, I realized this place had to be in the suburbs. The property was massive–elegant yet understated in its luxury.
Along the way, every servant I passed greeted me with respect, calling
me “Mrs. Hudson.”

A strange feeling stirred inside me. Though I responded politely, deep down, everything felt surreal.
‘Am I really Ryan Hudson’s wife?‘ It still felt like some bizarre fairy tale.
From what I could recall, the Hudson’s were one of the most
prominent families in Harborbrook. Ryan was no exception–his wealth and influence were enough to make anyone take notice.
But how did we end up together? No matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t figure it out.
At that moment, I noticed a maid passing by and stopped her.
“Hi, do you know exactly where we are? Is there any interesting places
nearby?”
She blinked in surprise before answering politely, “Madam, this is Mr. Hudson’s private villa in Bellton. If you’d like to go shopping, Mr. Hudson can take you to the city.”
I frowned sharply. ‘Bellton?‘
The Hudson family ruled Harborbrook, and Ryan and I had gone to Harborbrook University. So why would he choose to settle in Bellton
instead?
A sense of doubt rose in my heart, but then I brushed it off. Rich people owned properties everywhere. It wasn’t unusual for Ryan to
have a villa in Bellton.

Pushing aside my unease, I thanked the maid and continued my walk
through the garden, lost in thought.
If my family were really gone, their graves would likely be in
Harborbrook. I needed to go back, to visit my grandmother’s grave-
And maybe, being in a familiar place would help me regain my lost
memories.
A firm resolution took root in my heart–I had to return to
Harborbrook!
Determination settled in my chest. I decided to discuss it with Ryan.
As I made my way toward his office, I passed by a study.
The door wasn’t fully closed, and from inside, I caught the deep, low
sound of a voice.
It was Ryan.
His voice remained steady, “Find out who was behind Gabby’s
attempted kidnapping.”
“And–look into Toby’s situation. I need to know if he’s dead or alive.”
Toby? That name–it struck something deep inside me.
A sharp pain shot through my chest, as if an invisible hand had gripped my heart.
My breath hitched, and I instinctively clutched my chest.

I racked my mind, desperate to remember. But no matter how hard I
tried, I couldn’t find a single memory that belonged to him.
Yet my body knew. My heart ached, my palms grew clammy, and cold
sweat dotted my forehead.
He must have been someone incredibly dear to me-
But why–why did I forget him?
Before I could steady myself, Ryan’s voice came again from the study.
“Keep an eye on Vincent. If he comes to Bellton, inform me
immediately.”
Vincent?
That name–just like Toby–sent a shiver down my spine.
And just like before, I had no memory of him—only an inexplicable,
bone–deep pain.
