Without waiting for a response, Zelda hurriedly ran off, still calling out, “Rishima!”
“Is she a friend of Rishima?” Michael mumbled to himself before bending down to pick up Zelda’s phone, which had fallen to the ground. A sly smile spread across his face.
Earlier this night, Zelda and her boss had come to the bar to meet a client.
While walking through the bar’s hallway, Zelda had spotted a female who looked strikingly like Rishima. Initially, she thought it was a mistake until she saw Zvonimir there as well.
That confirmed it for her–the female she had just seen was indeed Rishima!
Zelda was puzzled. Yesterday, Rishima had messaged her saying that the climate in State Z was pleasant and that she had settled her work. Why was she back in the Empire today?
And why was she with Zvonimir? Could they have reconciled? Or was she being held captive by him?
The more Zelda thought about it, the less sense it made. Worried that something had happened to Rishima, but unwilling to dwell on her own doubts, Zelda hurried to the hallway to find her. However, Rishima had already disappeared with Zvonimir.
At that moment, Rishima was sitting in Zvonimir’s car.
Yet, Zvonimir didn’t start the car. Rishima didn’t urge him either. She silently fastened her seatbelt and gazed out of the window with a calm expression.
‘Are you still angry?” Zvonimir grabbed Rishima’s shoulders, turning her to face him. “Alright, I will take you to the raw meat restaurant you used to go to and order a lot of the dishes you like to eat, so stop being so unpleasant.”

Zvonimir detested her composed demeanor. Unable to control his frustration, he snapped, “You refused to drink when I asked. Now I want to take you to dinner, and you say you don’t want to eat. Are you deliberately disrespecting me? Do you believe I won’t fuck you to death right here in this car?
Rishima remained unfazed by Zvonimir’s childish provocation. She genuinely had no interest in speaking to him further.
Zvonimir was enraged by her indifference, nearly losing his composure entirely. Then his gaze fell on the smooth, pale nape of her neck, and a surge of desire overtook him.
Previously, his injured shoulder had prevented him from demanding intimacy with Rishima. Now that he had healed and could shift into his wolf form without issue, nothing held him back.
Fixating on Rishima’s luscious lips, Zvonimir suddenly pulled her close and crushed his mouth against hers in a fervent kiss.
