Chapter 344
Like what you see? If you like it, keep looking!”
I instantly looked away, despising how right Henry was.
This man knew exactly how attractive he was, and he never hesitated to use it to his advantage.
Before our divorce, during our most intimate moments, I’d often find myself whispering his name, telling him how handsome he was.
Those moments of weakness when pleasure overrode my pride had apparently inflated his ego even further.
God, I’d said so many embarrassing things during those nights.
At the height of passion, I’d blurt out compliments about his perfect face and sculpted body.
And Henry, that bastard, would always respond by intensifying his movements, his heart pounding wildly against mine, often leaving us both breathless and dangerously spent.
So when he caught me stealing glances at him just now, his satisfaction was palpable.
He deliberately tilted his face slightly, showcasing his best profile in the afternoon sunlight.
“Good looking, aren’t I?” he whispered, his voice low enough that only I could hear. “Should I put on some makeup? Make myself even more pleasing to your eye?”
Henry had always been confident about his appearance. Why wouldn’t he be?
If he weren’t so damn attractive, I wouldn’t have said all those things in bed.
In his mind, there was no question about his appeal.
I remembered once telling him during our marriage: “No matter how angry I am, seeing your handsome face somehow makes it impossible to stay mad. That admission had been a mistake.
I turned my head and gave him a look of pure contempt, saying nothing before turning back to focus on fishing.
How could anyone be this narcissistic? Yes, he was good–looking–objectively, undeniably so–but shouldn’t compliments come from others? Who praises themselves like this?
Alexander, sitting nearby, overheard Henry’s comment and burst out laughing.
“Henry Harding wearing makeup?” he chuckled. “Now that’s something I’d pay to see. I actually have some lipstick here–want to try it on and give us all a show?”
Alexander had clearly figured it out: Henry missed me.
After our divorce, he’d finally realized what he’d lost and was now shamelessly pursuing me.
But typical Henry–he’d never actually say it directly.
The man was the definition of emotionally constipated.
He wouldn’t speak unless asked, and even when asked, he’d still stay silent, leaving me to guess at his feelings.
That’s why I was so determined to divorce him!

Chapter 344
Who could tolerate this endless guessing game in a relationship?
I’d endured it for over six years, which was remarkably patient of me.
As Alexander’s teasing reached my ears, I couldn’t help but imagine Henry applying lipstick–that perpetually cold–faced man mechanically smearing color on his lips, his eyes full of reluctance. The mental image was so ridiculous that I burst out laughing.
Hearing my laughter, Henry’s expression brightened. It had been so long since I’d genuinely laughed around him. Seeing my smile seemed to embolden him.
He raised an eyebrow at Alexander, his voice light and challenging: “Sure, I’ll wear lipstick. But on one condition–you have to wear it too. If you join me, I promise I’ll do it.”
For the chance to make me laugh, he seemed ready to sacrifice his dignity. And if he could drag Alexander down with him, all the better.
Alexander’s smile instantly vanished. He’d cultivated a thoroughly masculine image in public–putting on lipstick would completely shatter his public persona.
“Wearing lipstick is for women,” he scoffed. “Real men like me don’t do that. If you want to wear it, be my guest.”
“Don’t worry, I won’t laugh at you,” Alexander said. “I’ll just post it online so everyone else can laugh instead.”
With that, he retrieved an unopened lipstick from his car–one intended for models in an upcoming ad campaign–and handed it to Henry with a triumphant grin.
Suddenly, all three of us–me, Alexander, and Billy–were staring intently at Henry’s lips, waiting for him to follow through.
I found myself leaning forward, eyes wide with anticipation, not wanting to miss a second of this spectacle.
Billy was equally excited, rubbing his chubby hands together as he stared at his father’s lips in disbelief. “Daddy, are you really going to wear lipstick?” he asked, utterly fascinated.
Harding men never wore makeup. They barely used skincare products, let alone something as feminine as lipstick.
With Billy watching expectantly, me holding my breath in anticipation, and Alexander grinning widely, Henry found himself the center of
attention.
Alexander sauntered over to Henry, swinging the lipstick between his fingers. “Well, Mr. Harding, it’s your move now. Don’t disappoint our dear Sophia!”
To my surprise, Henry didn’t hesitate. He took the brand–new lipstick, removed the packaging, and opened it.
His beautiful eyes found mine as I stood transfixed.
“If I wear this lipstick, will you have dinner with me tonight?” When he saw my hesitation, he quickly added, “Last time I treated you. This time, you can treat me.”
I hated owing people favors. With Henry suddenly asking me to repay his kindness, I couldn’t easily refuse. Plus, the prospect of seeing Henry wearing bright lipstick was too tempting to pass up.
“Fine!” I agreed. “If you put it on, I’ll treat you to lunch.”
I deliberately emphasized lunch, not dinner. We’d be visiting William at the hospital in the afternoon, which meant I wouldn’t need Henry to drive me home afterward–eliminating any potential awkward moments later.
“Deal, Henry agreed without hesitation.

Chapter 344
Then, using Alexander’s car mirror, he actually began applying the lipstick. Having never done this before, his movements were clumsy and comical, like a child painting for the first time.
Alexander had chosen Barbie pink–a shade difficult even for professional models to pull off.
Choosing it was clearly intended to maximize Henry’s humiliation, and now he stood ready with his phone, snapping photo after photo. I couldn’t resist joining in, taking out my own phone to capture this once–in–a–lifetime moment.
I only sent my photos to Betty, who responded with a laughing emoji.
However, Alexander directly posted his pictures to his social media where many of his business contacts who knew Henry could see them.
Within thirty minutes, the internet was buzzing with the news: Henry Harding wearing Barbie pink lipstick!
Oblivious to his viral fame, Henry continued rubbing his lips together after applying the lipstick. Noticing Alexander still taking photos, he beckoned him closer. “Come here and tell me if I missed a spot.”
Still laughing, Alexander approached. “Where?”
The moment Alexander came within reach, Henry lunged forward, smearing the lipstick all over Alexander’s lips while simultaneously taking photos with his left hand.
After several quick snaps, Alexander’s expression darkened dangerously.
“Henry. Fucking. Harding!” he growled. “You’ll pay for this!”
Meanwhile, Billy and I collapsed against each other, laughing uncontrollably at the sight of both men with bright pink lipstick smeared across
their faces.
