Chapter 232
“Ahem, Boss, are you guys done yet?” Brent coughed a few times on purpose from the side.
As the sidekick, he really didn’t want to interrupt their romantic moment, but this was definitely not the place for a date.
Nicholas let go of Sharon, pulled out a handkerchief, and gently wiped her face clean. Then he took her hand and carefully cleaned the blood off each of her fingers, bit by bit.
A faint smile tugged at the corner of Sharon’s lips.
Every time she got into a fight, she always hated her hands, feeling like no matter how she tried to wash her hands, they’d never really be clean.
But now, finally, there was someone willing to wipe her hands clean for her.
Nicholas didn’t say a word but just patiently cleaned her hands.
Only when her fingers were spotless did he finally let go. “Come on, let’s head back.”
“OK.” Sharon nodded, glancing at Nicholas beside her. “Thank you for today.”
She glanced back at her two team members. “They’re my friends. They came with me.”
Nicholas looked up, his expression cool and distant. “Hello.”
“Hey there, Mr. Baxter,” Jannie said.
It was the first time Jannie had seen the legendary president in person, and she couldn’t help feeling a little excited.
Nicholas just gave a slight nod, not saying anything. His gaze suddenly landed on Jannie, and he stared at the name printed on her shirt.
His eyes darkened a bit as he spoke slowly, “That’s a pretty unique design.”
He hadn’t noticed earlier, but now that he looked closer, the guy next to Jennie was wearing a coat with the name “Riley” on it.
Nicholas wondered, ‘Jannie, Riley? Tsk, what are the odds?‘
Jannie instantly felt a chill down her back, thinking, ‘Crap, how did I forget about this? I should’ve worn my coat inside out.
“We customized the same style,” Sharon suddenly chimed in, giving her own coat a little shake. “I’ve got one too.”
Nicholas noticed “Solar Flare” print on Sharon’s coat.
Suddenly, he felt a headache coming on. “Why are you dressed like that?”
Sharon had already come up with this excuse in advance. “I was actually doing a photoshoot with my friends, and then I heard mastermind.

“So I snuck over, thinking I could handle it. But I didn’t expect there’d be a bunch of pros here, and I ended up getting caught.”
Now that Daniel was gone and the mastermind had been taken away, no one could possibly expose her.
After she finished, she looked a little uneasy. “I didn’t mean to cause you trouble. Sorry.”
That last apology was actually sincere.
Nicholas reached out and patted her head. “No need to apologize. Next time something dangerous comes up, can you tell me first? I’m your fiancé. You can try to rely on me, you know?”

Nicholas thought, ‘This girl is really gutsy. She just dragged her friends along and charged in by herself.
‘If Daniel hadn’t shown up, maybe nothing would’ve happened to her. After all, this is just a hideout for Hunter Forum. But Daniel did show up.
‘Thank goodness she is okay. Otherwise, I really don’t know how to explain this when I go back.‘
Sharon nodded. “I will. But can you not tell my brothers? I snuck out without telling them.”
She stuck out her tongue, thinking, ‘If my brothers found out, I’d definitely get scolded again. Next time I want to sneak out, it probably won’t be so easy
Nicholas nodded. “Alright, but you have to promise me–if anything happens, I need to know about it.”
“Sure.” Sharon let out a sigh of relief. For now, she’d managed to talk her way out of it.
They headed for the abandoned warehouse, barely saying a word the whole way.
Jannie and Riley exchanged a nervous glance, thinking, ‘Nicholas‘ look just now really freaked us out.
‘Luckily, we prepped a story in advance, so at least our explanation sounded halfway believable.
‘But honestly, it won’t hold up if anyone starts digging deeper.
Before long, they reached the abandoned warehouse, which had already been cleaned up.
When Margaret heard they’d made it back safe, she finally breathed a sigh of relief. But as soon as she saw Sharon and her friends, her face changed instantly. “What’s with your coats?”
Sharon thought helplessly, ‘She totally saw this coming.‘
She explained that they were wearing outfits from a photoshoot and rushed over without time to change.
Margaret eyed them suspiciously. “Why that particular outfit? It looks custom–made, not something you’d wear for a photoshoot.”
Jannie explained, “Come on, lady, you’re behind the times. This style is super popular right now. You can find it all over Amazon.”
She immediately stepped up, pulled out her phone, and showed Margaret the exact outfits on Amazon.
On those coats, all kinds of names were printed. Seeing this, Margaret finally relaxed a lot.
She thought, ‘So they are really just photoshoot outfits.‘
“It’s good you’re okay. But Sharon, don’t you think you owe us an explanation about what really happened in that warehouse?”
Margaret still couldn’t shake the feeling that Sharon showing up out of nowhere was just too suspicious.
Everyone turned to look at Sharon.
Sharon said calmly, “Didn’t I already explain? I got a tip that the mastermind would be here, so my friends and I snuck over. But we ran into a bunch of dangerous people in the warehouse. There was a fight, but they had the numbers.”
“When you got there, did you see anyone else acting suspicious? Maybe someone who was at odds with Daniel? Or did anything else happen?” Margaret asked.
She thought, ‘Reliable sources say Daniel was here to meet Solar Flare.
‘Someone as cautious as Daniel wouldn’t have come unless Solar Flare was bere too. There must be more to the story
Margaret eyed Sharon, especially since they were all wearing such suspicious outfits.

No matter how she thought of it, she couldn’t shake off Sharon’s suspicion.
Sharon looked up and asked, “So you’re saying there was someone else?”
Margaret replied, “That’s right: According to our intel, someone named Solar Flare from the organization was here too. Daniel came to meet her.”
Margaret pressed even harder. “Sharon, you’re actually Solar Flare, aren’t you?”
