Chapter 95 Spoiled Alexander
“You seriously want Felix to be your brother–in–law?
Alexander froze. Even a blind man could see that Felix was nothing but a useless lowlife with a terrible reputation.
But as soon as his eyes met Milly’s, he looked away and mumbled, “Well, Amelia, I think you’ve been out of control lately. Maybe it’s time for a man to keep you in line.”
Before he could finish, Amelia slapped him across the face.
Alexander clutched his cheek and shot up from the couch in fury.
“You hit me for no reason again! I think something’s wrong with you. Did Nolan dump you? Is that why you’ve lost it mentally?”
Milly’s eyes lit up at the remark. She edged closer to Celia and clutched her stomach with trembling hands.
“Mom, Amelia’s been acting strange lately. Let’s take her to the hospital. I’m pregnant, and I’m scared she might do something irrational.”
Milly’s voice trembled, her eyes watered with fear as she played the perfect victim.
Celia hesitated. Could Amelia’s strange behavior be a sign of some kind of breakdown?
She waved the bodyguards in and looked at Amelia with suspicion. “Amelia, are you mentally unstable?”
Amelia didn’t even know how to answer. She glanced at Milly, just in time to catch the smug curl of her lips and the triumphant glint in her eyes.
Everyone in this house protected her. No wonder she was fearless.
Amelia felt her chest tighten like something sharp and heavy had crushed her heart.
But she quickly pulled herself together. If she hadn’t lost her memory, she might have lost complete control by now.
“I thought you wanted me home to cook?” Amelia’s voice was calm.
“Amelia, I don’t dare eat anything you make. I’m afraid you’ll poison me. After all, you’d never want me carrying Nolan’s baby.” Milly responded innocently with a hint of fear
It didn’t matter what Amelia said or did. Just being here made her guilty.
Just then, Nolan walked in and saw the tension in the room. He rushed to Milly and pulled her into his
arms.
“Amelia, what are you doing right now?”
He’d wondered if Amelia had finally stopped liking him, but now she was confronting Milly, possibly putting the baby in danger. Jealousy had pushed her over the edge.
Though he wouldn’t admit it, a twisted sense of satisfaction flickered in his chest.
“No matter how angry you are, you can’t go after Milly and the baby.”
Chapter 95 Spoiled Alexander-
Amelia stood silently, facing this group of people with their twisted logic
She hadn’t said a word, yet they’d already cast her as some unforgivable criminal
Amelia turned to leave, but Celia shouted, “Where are the bodyguards? Detain her! Alexander J right the might be mentally unstable. We can’t risk it!”
Alexander panicked. “Mom, I was just joking” His voice trailed off into silence. He lowered his head.
By then, Amelia had been dragged into the punishment room. A space that Milly had specifically renovated It was for disciplining disobedient staff,
The room was bare, One wooden bench, too short to reach the window, and a single locked door.
Amelia sat quietly and calmly.
As night fell, footsteps echoed outside.
She leaned toward the door and called out softly, “Alexander?”
Alexander hesitated. Amelia was in this room because of something he said on a whim.
The rest of the family had gone out for dinner. He had faked a stomachache and stayed home. He somehow ended up looking for Amelia.
But she’d slapped him more than once before and even sided with an outsider against him. His pride was bruised.
When Amelia called his name, he remained silent.
Leaning against the doorframe, Amelia smiled faintly. She knew it was him.
Alexander wasn’t as heartless as the rest. He was just spoiled, unable to differentiate right from wrong.
“You’re quiet, but I know it’s you. You’ve always treated me the best.”
At that, Alexander’s lips twitched upward. But he didn’t want to give in so easily.
He snorted, arms crossed. “If I’m so good to you, why’d you slap me? I lost so much pride that day.”
She had hit him in front of his little gang, and afterward, their stares had been full of barely concealed mockery.
For a guy, nothing matters more than pride.
“I hit you because I didn’t want you to go astray. I was worried about you. That’s all.”
Alexander frowned, hesitating. “You/mean it?”
Amelia rubbed her temple. The rest of the family were schemers. But Alexander was like a blank page. Almost painfully naive. He was dumber than Nolan.
“Of course, I mean it. Do you have the key? Let me out.”
“You’re just trying to sweet–talk me into rescuing you!”

“Alexander, I’m your sister. I’ve cooked for you more times than I can count. What has Milly ever done for you? Don’t just listen to what people say, look at their actions. Anyone can talk sweetly. Truth often sounds harsh, understand?”
