Chapter 224
Sharon smirked. “Now do you get it? He didn’t ask you to help me. He told me to take care of you guys. He also told me not to kill you guys for the saka at
him.”
Daniel looked completely crushed, all the fight gone from him.
The sharpness in his eyes from before was gone. Now, they were as lifeless as a burnt–out bulb.
Sharon added, “I never planned to come after you for your little stunts on the forum. But you just had to push your luck and try to mess with me.”
Sharon narrowed her eyes, then stomped hard on his hand a few times. The sound of bones snapping filled the air. Daniel’s face went ghostly pale from the pain, yet he was not even able to scream.
She bent down, her tattooed arm reaching out to grip Daniel’s chin. “Since you’re so eager to die, I’ll help you out.”
Daniel was full of regret. He never should’ve come after Sharon. He should’ve known from the start that anyone the previous boss picked was bound to be extraordinary.
He’d spent years searching for those three kids the previous boss brought back.
Out of all those kids, only three made it out alive. If he could’ve found them, his future would’ve been set.
But after the previous boss had his accident, those three kids vanished too.
Daniel looked everywhere over the years, but he didn’t find them.
He had never thought that they’d end up in the hands of Sharon. The thought alone was enough to make his blood boil.
If even one of those kids were by his side today, Sharon never would’ve been able to take him down so easily. It was a total humiliation for Daniel.
“Hey, I’m talking to you!” Sharon gave Daniel’s face another light slap. Meeting his furious glare, she let out a mocking chuckle. “Not taking the loss well, are you?”
Daniel was used to being on top–no one had ever dared talk to him like this before. He cursed inwardly, ‘This damn brat.‘
“You think if I didn’t have those three on my side, you’d be the one walking away with the win today?” Sharon asked.
“Isn’t that right? Who knows what kind of spell you put on Boss?” Daniel shot back.
After all these years, the previous boss handed everything over to some girl instead of his loyal brothers. Daniel couldn’t make sense of that.
“It’s simple.” Sharon pressed her fingers a little harder and popped Daniel’s jaw out of place. “Even if those three teamed up, they still couldn’t beat me. Only the strongest get to sit in this seat. Got it?”
With his jaw dislocated, Daniel couldn’t say a word. His drool just streamed down his chin.
Sharon let out a cold, mocking laugh, her eyes icy and indifferent. Her sunglasses had fallen off earlier and were now dirty.
Sharon was in a foul mood. She thought, ‘What a bunch of losers. I thought something big was going on, but they were just wasting my time.
‘I have a curfew now, and if my brother found out I snuck out, I’d be in trouble.’
Sharon stepped aside and said coldly, “Where are you keeping the person I want?”
Daniel, shaking all over, used his good hand to pop his jaw back into place.
He sucked in a breath and said, “The person is in the basement.”

Chapter 224
At this point, he knew he was no match for Sharon.
Sharon pulled off her dirty gloves, tossed them on the floor, and headed straight for the basement.
Cameron, Riley, and Jannie followed after Sharon.
But only Jannie went in with Sharon–the other two stayed outside. They still had to keep watch in case someone tried to ambush them.
Daniel eyed the three of them greedily. He thought, ‘If it weren’t for Boss, these three would’ve been our weapons by now. They are perfect killing weapons. What a waste.‘
Cameron was used to looking like that. Ever since he was brought into the organization, he’d seen those eyes over and over. To people like Daniel, Cameron was never a person but just an object.
Riley’s face turned dark. “What are you staring at? Keep it up, and I’ll kill you.” She shot right back at Daniel.
Daniel snorted, “In her eyes, you’re just a blade too. What’s the difference?”
Riley shot back, “There’s a huge difference. You think you’re even worthy of being compared to her?”
“Oh? And what, she treats you so much better?” Daniel asked.
Riley was about to say something, but Cameron stopped her and said with his pale face, “Don’t waste your breath on them.”
Daniel’s eyes darkened. He spat out a mouthful of blood and looked

the few men left. “Let’s go.
Fall back.”
He thought, ‘We’ve lost. There’s no point sticking around.‘
But outside, the situation had already changed. As soon as Daniel’s men tried to leave, they immediately sensed something was off.
By now, the place was surrounded. All they needed was Nicholas‘ order, and his team would storm in and wipe everyone out. But Nicholas still hadn’t made a move.
The man in charge couldn’t hold back anymore. “Mr. Baxter, it’s time to act. The longer we wait, the more risks we take.”
“Something’s off.” Nicholas stared at the abandoned warehouse.
He thought, ‘We’ve had the place surrounded for ages, but there wasn’t a peep from inside. Daniel and Solar Flare are both in there. No way they’d let their guard down like this.‘
The man in charge narrowed his eyes. “From what we know, Daniel wanted to take out Solar Flare. Now we’ve lost contact. Bet they’re already fighting. It’s a perfect chance for us to swoop in and clean up.”
Nicholas‘ eyes turned icy as he gave the order. “Go.”
