Chapter 85 A Night At Nocturne
“When I’m done with her, you can have your turn whenever you want.”
But Timothy was completely smitten with Milly–he had nothing but disdain for Amelia.

That night, Amelia had planned to ask Lily for help, hoping she could sneak Sharon inside.
Nocturne was a lavish club with extremely strict entry checks. Other than Lily, Amelia couldn’t think of anyone else who could help her.
But Lily sounded hesitant on the phone, and Amelia didn’t want to put her on the spot.

After hanging up, Amelia found herself at a loss for what to do next. Her finger slid across her phone screen, accidentally landing on Dylan’s contact.
Just then, he sent her a location pin. He was at Nocturne.
Amelia’s eyes lit up.
“Alright,” she replied.
She guessed Dylan was probably entertaining clients and had gotten drunk, and since Nathan wasn’t around, she could go pick him up in his place.
She quickly called Sharon to join her.
Nocturne operated on a membership basis. Amelia used to be a member, but since she caused a scene every time Nolan was involved, her reputation suffered so much that she could no longer bring guests.
The bodyguards at the entrance stopped her instantly, but someone nearby spoke up.
“Let her in.”
She looked up and saw Logan.
She’d met Logan a few times before. Like Nathan, his disdain for her was obvious–he was probably only here because Dylan asked him.
Proud and aloof, Logan rarely interacted with anyone in their circle–except for Dylan.
Amelia, with Sharon in tow, was about to go in when Logan spoke again.
“The private room at the far right on the top floor. Remember to pick him up.”
He was, of course, referring to Dylan.
Amelia nodded obediently. “Okay!
Logan gave her a quick, condescending once–over. He let out a cold snort and strode off.
Just like that, Amelia successfully brought Sharon inside. She’d already found out which private room belonged to Eric.

Eric was known for his wild ways–he’d drink himself silly and then take a beauty with him upstairs. Creating an opportunity wasn’t hard.
“Sharon, this is his private room number. Soon, a woman will go in to keep him company. Stop her and go
in yourself.”
Sharon’s fingers were trembling. She knew exactly what kind of place Nocturne was, and she’d never imagined she’d get in. This was her chance–she had to seize it!
Arching an eyebrow, Amelia was amused as she watched Sharon stride off with determination. Then she turned and headed to Dylan’s private room.
Before opening the door, she expected a scene of wild revelry. But the moment she stepped inside, she found only Dylan there.
The whole floor was eerily quiet. She couldn’t help but wonder–did Dylan own Nocturne?
“Mr. Hale?”
She called out, only to realize Dylan was on the phone, thanking someone on the other end.
“She’s here. Thank you.”
As soon as he saw Amelia, he hung up.
Amelia stood there, looking demure.
Craning her neck to peek at his phone, she asked, “Is this about the follow–up for the agricultural project in Greenvale?”
“Yeah.”
The tourism development in Greenvale was already underway and going smoothly.
Amelia hadn’t expected Dylan to be working here–she thought he’d be drunk. Since he wasn’t, why had he called her over?
Dylan closed the file in his hand and looked up at her. His gaze was cool and commanding, carrying an unspoken authority.
She straightened instinctively, as if being scrutinized by a superior. Whenever she was alone with Dylan, the air always seemed thick with tension.
Her mind raced with thoughts as she watched him brace himself on the table, preparing to shift from the couch to his wheelchair.
Remembering that he was still recovering from his leg injury, she quickly reached out to steady his arm.
“Nathan’s busy tonight,” he suddenly said.
In other words, he wanted her to take him home.
“Are you ready to go, Mr. Hale? I’ll take you.”
She helped him into the wheelchair.

Dylan rested his head on his hand, looking a bit tired. “Yeah.”

Amelia started to push him toward the exit. But as soon as she.cracked the door open, she heard Nolan’s voice.
Her hand froze, and she instinctively closed the door again.
Dylan looked up at her, and that one glance made her feel strangely guilty.
Nolan was right outside the private room. Apparently, he was on the phone–probably with Milly.
“Got it, Milly. I’ll come back right now. Take care of yourself. This is my first child, and my parents are very concerned. Even Grandpa knows.”
Amelia’s grip on Dylan’s wheelchair tightened. She accidentally pushed it forward a bit, and his leg bumped into the door with a loud thud.
