Chapter 60 A Dream Come True
“James, aren’t you going to say something to your daughter? Why is she representing Hale Corporation
“If she had represented Summers Group, you guys definitely would have won the bid. You’re such a fool for not cherishing your incredibly talented daughter. You even let her work at Hale Corporation.
James was so angry that he could barely breathe. He truly had no idea how someone as useless as Amelia had changed so drastically.
Ironically, Milly, the daughter he had the highest hopes for, had caused such a big mess this time.
James took a step forward. He decided to take the initiative and approach Milly. At the same time, he could introduce himself to the leaders present.
Sometimes, business and politics went hand in hand. If someone was willing to help James out, his company could expand further.
Although Willow District was just a small place, several residents had become remarkable officials with high positions. They shouldn’t be underestimated.
James had just taken a step when he heard Milly’s choked voice.
“Dad, have I become Amelia’s stepping stone to success?”
James stopped instantly and turned around in a hurry. “What do you mean?”
“Isn’t it true? I was the one who came up with the idea to help the farmers. Amelia merely tagged along.
“I was the one who stayed up all night for the live stream and came up with a way to keep the apples fresh. Now, Amelia has taken all the credit, and I… Whatever. I can’t compete with her anyway.” As Milly spoke, she turned away, looking upset.
James quickly caught up to Milly. “Are you saying that Amelia took credit for your hard work?”
“So what if she did? Amelia bought off those fruit farmers with money. After all, I gave her a few million dollars not too long ago.
“She’s probably spent it all already. But don’t tell anyone about this, Right now, everyone believes Amelia. did everything. If word gets out that she bought them off, the Summers family will be criticized too.”
James was extremely furious. No wonder those fruit farmers treated Amelia so well. They had already been bought off.
Amelia was so out of line. Not only did she take money from the Summers family, but she even chose to work for Hale Corporation.
Amelia had turned her back on her family. She was despicable!
The government official who had spoken to James realized that the latter was about to leave and quickly asked, “Aren’t you going to say something to your daughter?”
Impatience flashed through James‘ gaze. “I don’t have a daughter like her. She’s such a disgrace to the family!”
The government official was slightly astonished. Was Amelia a disgrace to the family? She had handled the

situation perfectly.
Since James and Milly had already gotten into the car, the government official decided not to say anything
As Amelia’s father, James didn’t even congratulate her for doing a good job. Instead, he seemed disgusted at her. The official believed she would definitely feel disheartened.
But Amelia didn’t seem to care at all. Once she was certain that Hale Corporation had landed the bid, she finally turned to inform Dylan, who was beside her.
“Congratulations, Mr. Hale.”
Dylan smiled faintly. A hint of joy flickered in his eyes.
“I’ll give you a raise when we get back.”
After mingling with the farmers for another two hours, Amelia finally got into Dylan’s car. They planned to return to Solandis.
But the people of Greenvale all stood outside their car. They seemed reluctant for her to leave.
“Amelia, once our area has been developed, you must drop by and visit us.”
“My family will be receiving at least ten million dollars in compensation. I’ll buy a house in Solandis and visit you too.”
“Young lady, have you recovered from your back injury? I acted too rashly last time. I shouldn’t have hit you with a rake.”
Voices from the fruit farmers drifted in through the open car window. Although they had only spent a few days with Amelia, they truly couldn’t bear to see her leave.
No one had ever managed to pull Greenvale’s apples out from the mud. Amelia even managed to help develop the area into a tourist destination.
The decades–old grudge had finally come to an end. The people in Greenvale no longer needed to care about those living in Sienna Valley.
Greenvale residents were about to lead a good life. In the future, they would focus on growing apples and working on project development.
The old village chief’s dream was finally coming true. How could they not be grateful to Amelia? Amelia looked in the rearview mirror at the people who refused to leave. A wave of emotion hit her.
She hadn’t done that much. Everyone in Greenvale, even the elderly and children, had a kind of simple honesty among them. It was very different from those in Sienna Valley.
Amelia took a deep breath and smiled. “Mr. Hale, maybe it’s a good thing the tourism project ppening
here.
“The people are genuine, and they’ll get on well with the tourists. Based on my understanding of Sienna Valley’s residents, they would definitely overcharge tourists if the project took place there.”
Dylan lowered his head as he flipped through the documents. He merely hummed in response.

It was the first project Amelia had completed ever since she woke up at the hospital. She was thrilled with her accomplishment.
No one said a word for the rest of the ride to Solandis. Out of sheer exhaustion, Amelia learied against the window and fell asleep. By the time she woke up, they had already arrived in Solandis.
The car stopped outside her apartment complex. Amelia hurriedly got out and said politely, “Thank you, Mr. Hale, for taking me home.”
After thanking Dylan, Amelia thought he would leave right away. Instead, he looked up from his documents and met her gaze.
