A woman started acting drunk and began rubbing herself up against Nolan while mumbling nonsense. Since he was a handsome man, he usually glanced at Amelia whenever a woman started pressing herself against him.

A wave of panic swept through Nolan. Then, he remembered that Amelia was willing to jump into a river for him. Love usually didn’t fade away so quickly.
To Nolan, Amelia was definitely pretending not to care. He smirked before holding her phone up high. “Amelia, I actually did fall for your act this time. Did you get someone to help you come up with this plan? You actually succeeded.”
Amelia felt like she was about to throw up. Why was Nolan so full of himself?
She reached for her phone instantly.
Not far away, the other women in the department had noticed Amelia’s interaction with Nolan. They became even more convinced that she had gotten the job through connections.

Sophia turned to enter the private room. She went up to Amelia’s table and rapped her knuckles against it. “Two project leaders are waiting for you outside. Since you helped those farmers, those leaders have a few questions for you. Once you leave the room, head for the third private room on your right.”
Since it was related to work, Amelia couldn’t just say no. She got up and left. To get to the third private room on the right, she had to walk past a washroom.
Once she walked past the washroom, Nate suddenly grabbed her. He drunkenly wrapped his arms around her.
“You actually came! I almost lost my patience waiting for you. Quick! Let me kiss you. I can give you as much as you like.”
But Amelia swung her bag at him without hesitation. She had struck his forehead, leaving him in pain. He staggered backward angrily.
Nate lost his temper. He grabbed Amelia by her hair and slammed her head hard against the wall.
“Why act so innocent? I thought paying you would do the trick.”
“Let go of me!” As soon as Amelia yelled at Nate, he felt provoked. He thought she only liked spreading her legs for other men and didn’t like him at all.
So, Nate grabbed a vase nearby and smashed it on her head. Had he been sober, he never would have done such a thing.
But since he was drunk, he wasn’t afraid of anything. As soon as the vase struck Amelia on the head, her vision went black. Blood started trickling down her forehead.
Nate started cursing at Amelia. “If you continue resisting, you won’t live to see tomorrow. That Sophia didn’t even tell me that you’d be so difficult to handle.”
As soon as he noticed blood on her forehead, he also started regretting his decision. As long as he spent some money, he could have had any woman he liked.
