Chapter 55 Karma In Full Force
“Let me help you get up.”

Dylan’s leg was still healing. The warm water helped, but he couldn’t take too much strain right now.
Amelia moved carefully, guiding him as he stood up from the pool and led him to the nearby changing
room.
Her bathrobe was soaked through, leaving a trail of water behind her.
She brought the wheelchair after he was done changing. “Mr. Hale, please take a seat.”
Dylan sat down in the wheelchair and looked at her robe. “You can go back now.”
Only then did Amelia feel the weight being lifted off her shoulders.
She let out a soft sigh of relief. “Okay.”
Amelia got back to her room and changed into dry clothes. She stopped when she saw her blushing face in the mirror. She could still feel the scene from earlier on her hand. It was hard, hot, and almost burning.
She couldn’t remember anything about her past or how far things had gone between her and Nolan. Nolan’s apparent dislike for her makes it likely that nothing ever happened between them.
So, was Dylan the first man she had ever touched like that?
She looked down at her palm, and when she realized where her thoughts were going, she couldn’t help but laugh.
Suddenly, there was a rapid knock at the door.
“Amelia, things have gotten out of hand in Sienna Valley. Did you see my messages? Many people want the platform to compensate them. The platform can’t take it. They have to lower their prices or give things away for free.
“I heard that, after all this, they’ve lost money on almost every order. The fruit farmers in Sienna Valley are furious and are looking for the coordinator.”
When Amelia opened the door, Nemi’s excited face greeted her.
Thinking of how the Sienna Valley fruit farmers had mistreated them, Nemi couldn’t help but gloat.
“Everything’s going just as you predicted. Milly was supposed to head back to Solandis today, but this mess delayed her. Didn’t she pay two million dollars to buy off those fruit farmers? When split amongst everyone, they only get a few thousand each, and with the fines from the platform, they’re losing money.” There was no way the Sienna Valley/fruit farmers would accept such a significant loss. Now they were stopping Milly from leaving and making her pay the platform’s fines as well.
Nemi seemed happier the more she talked. She snorted, “Those fruit farmers have had it too good for too long. The people in charge always gave them what they wanted, and they even excluded Greenvale, acting as if they were better than everyone else. Milly has finally found her match. Let’s find out how much she is willing to pay to make this right.”
A faint smile flickered at the corner of Amelia’s lips.

Milly, on the other hand, was sitting in her fancy car with a sour look on her face as she looked at the gro of fruit farmers surrounding her car.
How could she have caused the apples to go bad while they were being shipped? She had already given these country bumpkins two million dollars, and now they wanted her to pay the platform’s fines as well?
The platform had to make amends with the tens of thousands of customers who left negative reviews, which is why the fines were so high this time.
These fines had to be paid by the fruit farmers themselves, Otherwise, apples from Sienna Valley would never be listed on the site again.
Milly didn’t want to pay for anything, no matter how rich she was. These people not only didn’t thank her after all her live streams, but they also. had the nerve to block her car.
She sat still in the car.
The fruit farmers had faith in her at first. After all, she’d given them two million dollars.
But people are self–centered. They would have to pay the fines out of their own pockets, so even Milly’s good looks couldn’t win them over. They had worked hard all year and ended up with losses.
“Ms. Summers, you caused this mess. You owe us an explanation.”
“We sent out about 10 thousand apples and didn’t make a dime. Now we’re getting fined on top of that? Is there still justice?”
“If you don’t give us an answer, don’t even think about leaving!”
In the car, Milly and Nolan sat next to each other. Milly’s eyes filled with tears right away when she heard these words, and she leaned on Nolan’s shoulder.
“Nolan, I’ve been working so hard, streaming here for days, and this is how they treat me. It’s heartbreaking.” Seeing her teary eyes, Nolan immediately grew angry. “It’s just a few million in fines. I’ll pay for it.”
“No, it’s not about the money. I just don’t want to be threatened by these people. I’d like to see what they dare to do!”
Nolan reached over and patted her shoulder. “Alright, don’t get upset. There’s no need to stoop to their level.”
Just then, Milly’s phone rang. It was a call from James.
“Milly, what’s going on in Sienna Valley? Someone I know just told me you messed things up. I don’t bla you. I’d like to know what happened and see if there’s a way to rectify the issue.
Milly’s eyes flashed with anger. She was distraught.
“Dad, the fruit farmers say they’re going to break my car. They were already mad because of Amelia, and now they’re taking it out on me. They won’t be happy with anything. I’ll be back soon.”
