Nicholas felt a deep sense of crisis. As he scrolled through the comments, such as “I fell for her at first sight“, his frown deepened.
He thought, ‘Since when are girls this bold? If I didn’t know better, I’d think Shari had a twin brother.
He set his phone down with a gloomy face.
Brent leaned in. “Nick, want me to nuke that post? Look at these bold comments. Once Sharon’s back on campus, these girls will pursue her”
Nicholas considered it, then shook his head. “Leave it.” They were all girls anyway. Sharon was not into women.
Sharon had once again become the center of attention, both online and across campus forums.
Lydia scoffed at the photos. “That’s what everyone’s drooling over? Looks like a damn pretty boy. Are they blind?”
She thought, ‘These girls forgot how quickly Sharon won Nicholas over. And now they even like her. Humph, it’s so annoying‘
Vivian, however, stared at the images with unexpected admiration. She thought, ‘Huh, Sharon looks good like this. Handsome and cute. I kinda want a
copy.
Sharon’s unofficial debut had gone viral before she had even stepped into showbiz. But the celebratory mood evaporated the moment she returned
home.
Richard fixed Patrick with a glare. “When did I approve of Shari acting? Have you seen the comments online?”
The room instantly grew silent.
Sharon hadn’t expected Richard’s disapproval.
Marvin laughed and tried to smooth things over, “Richie, you’re scaring Shari.”
“This is ridiculous,” Richard grumbled, though his tone softened slightly. He didn’t like the idea of Sharon’s photos being exposed to the public.
“Richie, I wanted to act. It wasn’t Pat or Marvin’s idea,” Sharon said/stepping closer to take Richard’s hand. “Don’t be mad. I won’t do it again if you don’t
want me to.”
“Shari,” Patrick frowned. It was obvious Sharon had enjoyed it. Just stopping her now would be unfair.
Wallace spoke up, “Shari, you really like acting? Or are you just doing it for Pat?”
“I love it. Pat was just helping me.” Sharon smiled sheepishly. “I’ve always been curious about acting. Today was just a lucky chance.”
“You really like it?” Richard hesitated, then said, “Well, if you enjoy it, I won’t stop you. But at least let Pat get you a lead role or something where you look pretty. What’s with the boy’s outfit?”
“You don’t think it suits me?” Sharon asked.
“You look good in anything,” Richard sighed. “But to us, you’re our little princess. Seeing you dressed like a boy feels off. In our family, the standards for
sons are much stricter.”
Sharon giggled. “But it makes me feel closer to all of you.”
Richard finally relented. As long as Sharon was happy, he had no objections.
The tension eased. Sharon shot Pat and Marvin a reassuring look.

Among the eight brothers, Richard commanded the most authority.
Wallace, seeing the matter resolved, added, “Shari, the branch family invited us to lunch tomorrow. We’ll go at noon.”
“Sure.” Sharon nodded. It was time for business tomorrow.
Julian ruffled her hair. “It’s late. Head to bed.”
“Okay. Good night, brothers.” Sharon headed upstairs.
Once in her room, her sweet smile faded. She turned to Joan. “I’m taking a bath. In 30 minutes, I want all the intel on the branch family.” After all, knowing the enemy well was necessary for victory.
