The three NovaCore members broke into a cold sweat. Miles thought, ‘Whether this girl is the boss‘ girlfriend or not, it’s someone we can’t afford to offend. But we had already offended Shadow last night.‘
Marvin: [Carry her and feed her all the kills. Got it?]
Seeing this, Miles had a headache. He and his teammates exchanged panicked glances.
One of them asked, “Miles, what do we do now?”
Miles frowned, “Where is Jose Green today? Has anyone seen him?”
“He took the day off,” another replied. “After getting roasted online yesterday for being a scumbag and losing that match.”
Miles cursed under his breath, Jose caused trouble and left me with this mess. Damn it!‘
A person asked, “Should we call Jose back?”
Miles shook his head. “No time. Just play and make sure she has a good time.” He couldn’t afford to piss off Shadow.
The match began.
Marvin turned on voice chat. “Pick your mains! I’ll take support.”
The three NovaCore members took the key roles–jungler, warrior, ADC–leaving the mage to Sharon.
Sharon simply locked in her character.
“Shari, I’ll protect you.” Marvin was confident.
“Sure,” Sharon said sweetly.
The three NovaCore members nearly dropped their phones when they heard the soft, feminine voice.
Miles was shocked, thinking, ‘The legendary Shadow is a girl? That ruth

om last night used a voice changer?
Miles stared at his selected jungler in embarrassment. He thought, ‘I’m bringing a knife to a gunfight here. Shadow’s the top–tier jungler.”
Sharon secretly added Miles as a friend. Miles nearly dropped his phone when he saw the message pop up. He sent: [Your orders, Miss?]
Sharon: [Last night’s match stays secret, understand?]
Miles swallowed: [Understood.]
He thought, ‘So the boss has no idea who this really is? He even told us to carry Shadow and feed her kills? She doesn’t need it at all!‘
The match began, and almost immediately, Marvin’s voice filled the voice chat. “Help! The jungler is chasing me.”
Sharon landed a skill shot, comboed into her ultimate, and deleted the enemy jungler.
Marvin patted his chest. “I almost died there.”
This pattern repeated. Marvin’s support would aggravate enemies, only for Sharon’s mage to obliterate them.
Miles, playing jungler, felt utterly useless. Sharon left no room for anyone else to shine, flawlessly protecting Marvin.
Eventually, Marvin caught on. He thought, ‘Shari is protecting me. Oh, so touched. She’s the best.‘

Chapter 187
The match ended in ten minutes. It was a total shutout.
Marvin beamed with joy. “At this rate, I’ll hit King Tier in no time.”
“Again?” Seeing Marvin’s enthusiasm, Sharon immediately started another match. This time, she stuck with the mage.
Marvin was surprised. “Shari, you’re picking this character? It’s difficult. I’ll protect you.”
Sharon smiled, “Good.”
Miles was practically trembling, thinking, ‘I should’ve given the jungler role to Shadow.‘
This time, Sharon played like she had some kind of cheat code, completely zoning the enemy mage.
Marvin was full–on fanboying the match. “Awesome, Shari. Hey, they’re taking the dragon.”
“Got it.” Sharon dashed in and secured the kill.
Miles deliberately left enemies at low HP for Sharon to finish off.
As expected, MVP went straight to Sharon without question.
After an hour, Marvin had ranked up to Star Glory Tier, just one step from King Tier. He was over the moon. “Shari, you’re definitely one of us. Gaming skills run in the family.”
The three NovaCore members were speechless.
Joan raised an eyebrow and thought, ‘It’s Ms. Vance’s own skill. Mr. Marvin Vance, how can you even say that with your level of play?”
Sharon nodded seriously. “Mav, you’re pretty good too.”
“Oh, not as good as you.” Marvin waved a hand. “I’ll rely on you to carry me.”
Just then, the car stopped. They had arrived at the film set.
Marvin stretched lazily. “That’s it for today. Study my sister’s gameplay. That’s how she dominates.”
Miles wiped sweat from his forehead. He thought, ‘She’s the legendary Shadow. Did the boss just call her sister? So, is Shadow his sister?”
The three NovaCore members all froze, a chill running down their spines.
A teammate said, “Miles, I’ve got an idea.”
Miles warned, “Shut it! We can’t let this get out.”
“Why? This is explosive news.”
Miles rubbed his temples. “She messaged me earlier. Keep it a secret, or we’ll regret it.”
It was a blatant threat. Sharon had deliberately avoided playing jungler to stay undercover. Miles dared not cross her.
The game ended. Sharon set her phone aside and got out of the car. Then, she saw a very familiar sign–NovaCore Base.
She thought, ‘Huh? What a coincidence.‘
