Chapter 32 Admiration For Milly
Amelia fell silent as she pondered whether he would ever accept all of her suggestions.

She also became more nervous after spending so much time alone with him in such a confined space.
Dylan set aside the documents on his lap and leaned back in his seat. “Let’s get some rest.
The trip to Sienna Valley would take at least seven to eight hours.
Amelia nodded. Just as she was about to close her eyes, her phone rang. The screen displayed Sharon’s
name.
When Amelia picked up the phone, Sharon arrogantly said, “Has Nolan called you yet? Why haven’t you delivered that bag?”
Amelia scowled and immediately blocked the number.
Sharon had become accustomed to Amelia’s constant concessions and meekness. Sharon was furious that Amelia had given her such a cold shoulder.
So, Sharon called Nolan, who discovered that Amelia had blocked him, too, when he tried to reach her.
He sat in a private room at a bar, feeling oddly uneasy. It was getting dark, and he felt a hand nudge his shoulder.
“You seem distracted tonight, Mr. Hale.”
“Is it because you’re worried about Milly going to Sienna Valley?” Timothy added.
Nolan’s brow furrowed. “Milly’s going to Sienna Valley?”
Nobody had mentioned that to him.
After Timothy realized his mistake, he made a hasty attempt to hide it by saying, “I only heard it from someone else. Sienna Valley has a promising tourism development project, and the Summers family and many other businesses are interested in it.
“Furthermore, doesn’t James have a close friend working as a government official? He saw an opening and dispatched someone to work on an Agricultural Aid project in Sienna Valley. The Summers family may be able to get into the bidding if everything goes according to plan. Milly offered to do the work.”
Nolan’s face softened instantly. A smile even tugged at his lips. “That’s just like Milly. She has a significant impact on the business.”
Many even claimed that Milly was just as capable as James.
“Who were you just on the phone with?” Timothy asked hesitantly, lifting his glass.
“My second aunt. She’s annoying.”
“Was she asking for money again? It’s been a long time since she bothered you.”
“Yeah. She used to bug Amelia with such things.”

were to come to him one day pleading on her knees, he wouldn’t give a damn.
He got up and decided to visit the Summers family.
Upon his arrival, he observed Alexander relaxing on the couch with his long legs crossed, habitually leating commands.
“Make me a glass of juice, Amelia.”
“Amelia?” Celia snorted. “She doesn’t even acknowledge you.”
When Alexander realized that his sister hadn’t been home for days, he paused mid–scroll on his phone.
“I just said it out of habit, Mom. She will return at some point.
Perhaps she would even buy him a limited–edition collectible to make amends like she used to. But she had gone too far this time. He wouldn’t be so quick to forgive her.
Seeing Nolan, Celia immediately stood up and asked, “Nolan, what brings you here?”
“Hi Celia, where’s Milly?”
“She is still in the office. That girl works too hard. I’m concerned about her upcoming trip to Sienna Valley because the region is so impoverished.
“I wanted her to take a chef along, but she insisted she could handle it and only brought a team of technicians. It’s good that she’s hardworking, but as her mother, how could I not worry?”
Nolan’s admiration for Milly only grew, especially when he thought of how Amelia had done nothing but idle away. He couldn’t help but look down on Amelia.
As it turned out, Amelia was nothing compared to Milly.
Alexander chimed in, “Mom, you know how strong–willed Milly is. She never stops challenging herself. Would Nolan like her so much otherwise? Given that Amelia has never visited the business and is unknown to the shareholders, it is understandable why she’s unpopular.”
After winning his game against the boss, Alexander sneered and grinned up at Nolan. “Are you going to see Milly, Nolan?”
Nolan felt a warmth in his heart. “I’ll go in a couple of days. I don’t want to disrupt her plans.”
James came downstairs, his face full of pride. “Milly and the technical teams have set off. He is praised by everyone at the company.”
The three–member family was beaming, and even Nolan was proud. Everyone appeared to have forgotten about Amelia in their happiness.
By the time Amelia and her group arrived in Sienna Valley, it was already 10:00 pm.
After greeting them, the coordinator led them to an upscale guesthouse. The architecture appeared very high–end and had a strong traditional flair. They didn’t know it was only for important visitors until they asked.
Amelia and Dylan’s rooms were directly opposite each other.

The coordinator, frightened by Dylan’s presence, could hardly raise his head as he spoke, ‘Mr. Hale, I’ll give you a tour of the area tomorrow morning,” he finally pulled up the courage to say.
