Augustin’s POV
Relief washed over me as I finished explaining my plan to Bryloch, Adryx, and my brother Evanth. The weight I’d been carrying felt lighter knowing tha their complete support.
So now we just wait for Hartington and Halloway to artive, immediately.”
said, pacing the length of Bryloch’s side hall. If we can get their backing, we move
Bryloch leaned against the wall, his eyes tracking my movement. “You understand that once we do this, there’s no going back?
I’m done being merciful,” I replied, my voice hardening. “Mercy

Us into this mess.
I had tried so hard to be different from my father, and look where that had led us. Nothing but threats and chaos. Berry had given me the courage to take back what should be mine, to create a peaceful world for my family, even if I had to kill every traitor to do it.
Adryx nodded from his position by the window. “Once we’ve arrested should be.”

“We need Halloway and Harrington on board first,” I reminded them. “Harrington might not oppose the idea, but Halloway…” I trailed off, thinking about the complications there.
“You took his fated mate,” Evanth supplied, “He might have issues supporting you.”
“We have to try,” I insisted. “This is the only way to put an end to all of this. The only way to restore peace.
Evanth grinned suddenly. “The three of us as dukes. I can live with that.”
Bryłoch chuckled. “It’ll make it harder for them to use the Elder Council against us, that’s for sure.”
“What happens after?” Adryx asked, his gaze sharp. “After we’ve arrested everyone?”
I stopped pacing and faced them. “I challenge whoever has been hiding in the shadows. This ‘Sovereign‘ who thinks he can take my throne.”
Once I had complete authority within the governance system, stealing seals and stirring up hatred wouldn’t work anymore. They’d either have to stay silent or show themselves.
We spent the next hour reviewing the organization members‘ list, planning how to coordinate the arrests across all regions on the same day, after consulting with Kieran and Matthew.
When the Elder Council called for me, I would overturn the current system and be crowned King again. Just like in the old days. Some would oppose me, certainly, but after we arrested half the council and their family members, who exactly would be left to challenge me?
I was done playing by their rules. Anyone who stood in my way would be destroyed. I would do whatever it takes to achieve our goal.
The Purplemoon night would be romantic and peaceful. I would complete my bond with my mate, and our pup would be born into a world of peace, not chaos and threats. I would make sure of it.
About two hours later, a Delta knocked on the door. Your Majesty, Alpha Matthew Harrington and Alpha Kieran Halloway have arrived.
I straightened my shirt. “Good. Show them to the meeting room in Bryloch’s side hall.”
“Alpha Harrington has brought a prisoner and requests she be locked up, the Delta added, looking uncertain.
I frowned, curious about the prisoner’s identity. “Very well. I’ll meet with them first and decide where to put the prisoner.”
As the Delta left, I turned to Adryx. “Have them bring Fox here as well. It’s better to hear things directly from the source.”
Adryx nodded and left to make the arrangements while I made my way to the meeting room, my mind racing with possibilities about Matthew’s prisoner.

Chapter 254
When I entered the room, I was shocked by what I saw. Matthew and Kieran rose to greet me, but my eyes were drawn to the worn wilting T sofa, Isabelle Richards, wearing silver bracelets.
Gentlemen,” I said, extending my hand to each of them. Matthew’s grip was firm, Kieran’s slightly hesitant. “I wasn’t expecting you to bring compant, Harrington.”
Matthew’s eyes burned with barely contained rage. I need somewhere to keep her,” he said, gesturing toward Isabelle.
I understood his anger all too well. This woman had used him in the worst possible way. She was his fated mate, yes, but there were better ways to love a man than to manipulate and destroy his home.
Kieran looked uncomfortable, glancing around the room. I couldn’t help the small satisfaction I felt, let him see the luxury I provided for Berry, the woman he believed should have been his.
“You want me to put your mate in the dungeons?” I asked Matthew, reminding him of their bond.
“She’s been spying for her father,” Matthew said bluntly. “Watching me, reporting my every move.”
Isabelle sat with tears streaming down her face, looking like someone who had given up hope of living. She didn’t look like she had the strength to resist anything.
I considered the situation. She was carrying Matthew’s pup. Despite her crimes, I couldn’t put a pregnant woman in the dungeons. “I’ll have her placed in a secure room, not the dungeons.”
Matthew’s wolf, let out a low growl of betrayal.
“Tell them everything,” Matthew commanded her. “Every alpha your father met with. Every name.”
Isabelle slowly lowered herself to her knees, exposing her neck in submission, a difficult movement given her pregnancy. I immediately gestured for her to sit back on the sofa.
Matthew began pacing the room, and I could feel his rage. He had broken, and I understood why. Discovering your mate had been actively working against you was a special kind of betrayal.
Isabelle began speaking, revealing disturbing information and naming numerous people. It seemed she truly feared her father might be trying to get rid of Matthew. The irony wasn’t lost on me, if she believed Matthew would help her escape her father, she should have been honest from the start rather than allowing her father to use her to cause such pain. It was a sad situation all around.
I signaled a Delta. “Take her to a room in my side hall. Lock her in but make sure she’s comfortable. We’ll deal with her properly after she’s given birth.”
As Isabelle was led away, I noticed Kieran’s interest piqued by her revelations. Perhaps it would be easier to gain his support than I’d anticipated.
