Chapter 162
“Wait Sharon started, voice trailing to a whisper. Nicholas didn’t hear.
She stared at the blood on his sleeve, hands flying to her face. She’d never been so mortified.
Shutting the door, she cleaned up and changed into fresh clothes: Only then did she realize her phone was back in the dorm–no way to contact friends.
She never thought Nicholas would buy her tampons. It was so embarrassing.
“How are you feeling now, Sharon?” Laura asked warmly, no trace of mockery. The poor girl was stuck with a cold, awkward Nicholas, and it was sad enough for her.
Sharon relaxed slightly, whispering, “Thanks.”
“No problem. Why not rest here? I’ll excuse you from the
camp–you’re
in no shape for training.”
Sharon glanced at Nicholas, remembering his “no exceptions”
Feeling her gaze, he said, “Rest first.”
“Can I take leave?” she asked.
Nicholas said awkwardly, “Yes.”
by eng kome hot water, she didn’t frown anymore and leaned back to rest.
Relieved, Sharon sipped water. Her body was too weak to push it. After drinking
Nicholas sat stiffly, checking his phone. Research felt unreliable–his only female elder was his mother.
Wendy quickly replied to his message. Wendy: [Is Shari on her period and feeling unwell?]
Though embarrassed, he pressed on.
Nicholas: [She’s in pain, bleeding a lot, pale. What to do?]
Wendy, in the middle of having a facial mask, sat up, and typed seriously. Wendy: [She needs nutritious food. Excuse her from training. Shari grew up without a mother and has eight brothers–they can’t help with this /Tell me her symptoms; I’ll arrange a health plan.]
Nicholas frowned—Sharon really had no female role models. He shared the basics. Nicholas: [I don’t know more.]
Wendy: [Silly boy! Follow my advice. I’ll have the butler stew chicken soup and send it to campus tonight. Deliver it to Shari, got it?]
He agreed, relieved by his mother. Glancing at Sharon, he approached her.
“Need anything? Craving something?” His handsome face stiffened, voice still cool.
“I want dessert… and my phone’s in the dorm. Bored,” she admitted, hinting that he brought her phone and let her get in touch with her gang.
“Here.” He handed her his black phone. “No passcode. Download games.” Before she could refuse, he set it down. “I’ll return to the field and check on you later. Text Brent for food–I’ll bring it.”
Sharon stared as he left, then called out, “Wait.”
He turned his calm gaze on her. “What’s up?”
Blushing, she pointed to his sleeve. “I stained your shirt.”
Only then did he notice the blood. Rolling up his sleeve, he said, “It’s fine. Rest.”

As he left, her eyes fell on his black jacket draped over a chair, probably stained too.
Sharon thought, ‘He knew nothing, panicked about taking me to the hospital and offering blood.., so cute. She smiled into her warm water
Picking up his phone, she decided to forgive his earlier. actions for now. Unlocking it, she saw no frivolous apps and the conspicuous House of Obsidian
app.
Her finger hovered. Opening it might reveal secrets… a once–in–a–lifetime chance. She wondered, ‘Should I?‘
