Chapter 160
“Get a female doctor here,” the chief physician said to a nurse, then leaving in a fruff.
If he could’ve beaten Nicholas, he’d have thrown him out already.
Soon, a female doctor named Laura Lewis arrived, wearing a mask to examine Sharon.
She stole a glance at Nicholas–handsome, but his scowl was intimidating.
“Treat her,” Nicholas ordered.
“She is not having a fever, but why so pale? Any discomfort?” Laura asked.
Sharon felt dizzy, too weak to move.
Nicholas stood by, tense. “It’s her period.” He said it with the gravity of a state secret, not just a monthly cycle.
Laura relaxed. “Oh, it’s her period.” She thought Sharon had some kind of terminal illness.
Nicholas frowned at her casual tone–Sharon was clearly suffering.
He had no clue what periods entailed, hence his panic at seeing yesterday’s vibrant Sharon now weak and bleeding.
“It’s not a serious illness; all girls go through this. Just rest,” Laura explained.
“No medication?” Nicholas eyed Sharon’s pale face.
“Not needed. Blood loss makes her pale,” Laura said.
“Then I’ll donate blood to her,” he declared.
Laura stifled a laugh. “No need for that. It’s normal, not an illness.” She bet this conversation would scandalize the school if leaked.
Sharon couldn’t take it anymore. “Just let me rest. No blood donation,” she mumbled, mortified.
Nicholas regained his senses, realizing transfusions were overkill–He’d only suggested it out of panic at her pallor. He drew the curtain and covered her
with a blanket.
Sharon opened her eyes, stammering to the doctor, “I might stain the bed… I didn’t bring tampons,”
“No problem, I’ll get some right away,” Laura said, instantly understanding, then pulled the curtain to create a private space.
With a mischievous grin, she waved Nicholas over.
He approached reluctantly. “What does she need?”
“Tampons. I don’t know her brand, so check the campus supermarket,” Laura said.
Even Nicholas froze, face flickering with awkwardness. Remembering Sharon’s embarrassment, he frowned and left for the supermarket.
As soon as he was gone, a nurse peeked out. “Laura, you’re so mean–we have tampons here. Why make him buy them?”
“Doesn’t Mr. Baxter look adorable when flustered? He’s her fiancé, so it’s only right,” Laura teased.
Nicholas had terrified the nurses earlier; this was petty payback.
Besides, his anxious demeanor was too tempting to tease. Buying tampons for his fiancée was hardly an issue.

Chapter 160
Unaware of the prank, Nicholas hesitated at the supermarket entrance, then marched in with his usual stoic face.
The store was busy–the training break meant many students would grab drinks here.
Nicholas drew curious glances from girls whispering. “Why is Mr. Baxter here?”
“Did you see how he carried that girl? So hot.”
“What’s he buying now?”
“Let’s follow and see.”
Now standing before the tampon aisle, Nicholas stared blankly at the overwhelming array of brands.
