Chapter 155
Chapter 155
Sharon said, “Why, you got a problem with that?” Maybe Justin’s expression was too obvious, because Sharon shot him an annoyed look, her mye ven threatening.
Here, besides Sharon’s friends, only Justin probably knew a bit more about her background.
But then Sharon thought, ‘Well, he doesn’t get to meet my brothers anyway, so he can’t spill the beans about my real personality to them. That thought put her at ease.
“Of course not,” Justin said. When Sharon wanted to act sweet, she could pretend to be as pure as an angel.
No wonder Justin had always found the rumored Sharon odd, completely different from the Zero he’d known before. But after meeting her, he realized Sharon and Zero were no different. She was just wearing a mask.
Nicholas had probably been fooled by her, too, thinking his fiancée was really that sweet and cute. As the saying went, pretty women are truly terrifying
creatures.
“Since you’re not joining the House of Obsidian, there’s a lot I can’t tell you–not even Nicholas has the right to bend those rules,” Justin said, his tone turning slightly serious.
“Nicholas said I could run for President of the Union. That should work,” Sharon said. But the Union election wouldn’t happen until after the semester started. Since school hadn’t begun yet, she’d have to wait a month.
“That does seem like a loophole. After all, no one really wants to be Union President–it means offending both the House of Obsidian and the House of Ivory,” Justin said.
Sharon was puzzled and asked why.
Justin replied, “Have you ever wondered why the academy even needs the Union? If the House of Obsidian and House of Ivory got along so well, why would they need a Union President to mediate?”
Their relationship must be so bad that the Union President had to bear the brunt of both sides‘ anger.
But if Sharon became Union President, Justin stroked his chin and said, “Brilliant.” There was no better candidate than Sharon, actually.
“I feel like you’re insulting me,” Sharon frowned. She’d have her friends look into what the Union President actually did later. A position this special must involve handling unusual tasks.
“Trust me, I’m not. But Mr. Baxter gave you a good idea–it’s a win–win. I can tell he’s serious about you,” Justin said.
Sharon asked, “How so?”
“You saw how ruthless Mr. Baxter is, right? Annoying, isn’t he? But he’s like that with everyone… except you,” Justin said with a strange gaze.
Sharon looked up at Nicholas, who was standing across the way. He wore a black uniform, his posture tall and straight.
The moment she looked over, Nicholas turned to meet her gaze. They stared at each other for seconds, neither able to read the other’s eyes.
“Are you going to help me dig or not?” Sharon frowned, realizing Justin was dodging the topic.
“Fine, I’ll help you look into it, but you’re on your own if things go south. The people who carry out those missions aren’t ones to mess with. Just don’t rat me out later,” Justin said, knowing he couldn’t weasel out of this.
Sharon nodded nonchalantly, glancing at the people running laps on the field and smirking. She decided spectating could be quite entertaining.
“To investigate, you need to give me something to go on. I can’t just dig blindly,” Justin said with a sigh, already knowing Sharon’s requests never meant good news for him.

“All I know is his name’s Niko,” Sharon said.
Justin had just raised a water bottle to his lips. At the name, he choked, his face turning red as he clutched his chest and coughed violently
Sharon’s eyes narrowed. “Don’t tell me you know this guy.” The warmth faded from her expression, replaced by a cold edge.
