Juno’s POV
Staring at the threatening notes scattered on the table, I couldn’t believe someone had the audacity to send these to me. Each card contained vague warnings and threats, but no specific instructions. My hands trembled slightly as I read through them again.
If you know what’s good for you, you’ll stop digging.
Some secrets are meant to stay buried.
Your child deserves a mother who’s still breathing.
I’d heard of these kinds of threatening notes before, how they were used to manipulate people, to make them stop whatever they were doing out of feat. Whoever was behind this was clearly getting nervous about my investigation.
These notes are meant to scare me, I thought, but all they’ve done is make me more curious.
I considered the possible senders. Fox? Qiana? Maybe Eliza had somehow warned Qiana, but then again, maybe Eliza was being watched without her knowledge. The timing was suspicious, coinciding perfectly with Alpha Elton’s scheduled visit to the manor.
“Juno?” Amelia’s worried voice pulled me from my thoughts. “Your hands are shaking, dear. It’s okay to be afraid.”
I looked down at my trembling fingers, surprised by my body’s betrayal. I tried to steady them, but the tremors continued.
“I’m the mate of the Alpha King,” I said, fighting back tears. “I shouldn’t show weakness.
But deep down, I knew it wasn’t fear making my hands shake–it was rage. How dare someone threaten me and my unborn child? Seraphine was pacing and snarling, wanting to tear apart whoever had sent these notes.
We will find them, Seraphine growled in my mind. And they will regret threatening our pup.
‘I think we should go to the manor now,” I announced to Amelia, trying to keep my voice steady.
Freya’s face immediately brightened. “Really? We’re going home?”
I nodded, quickly crafting a cover story. “I forgot a dress I wanted to wear, and I’d like to prepare a pre–wedding gift for Augustin.”
Freya looked confused for a moment before understanding dawned on her face. “Oh! Yes, and I miss my room at the manor too.”
I gave her a subtle nod, appreciating her quick thinking. We needed to act normal, to pretend nothing was wrong. Whoever was watching needed to believe I was simply going about my day.
Turning to the Delta guard standing by the door, I handed him the threatening cards. “Please deliver these to the authorities. I want them to investigate who sent them.”
The guard nodded, taking the cards carefully. “Of course, Luna.”
I knew I was being watched, probably by the same person who’d sent the threats. By immediately handing over the cards and acting like they hadn’t affected me, I hoped to throw them off. Let them think I wasn’t taking the threats seriously, while I secretly prepared to meet Elton at the manor.
Juno? Are you alright? Augustin’s voice filled my mind through our link, concern evident in his tone.
I shot Amelia an annoyed look. “Did you tell him?”
She shrugged apologetically, “He’s the Alpha King. He deserved to know.”
I’m fine, I replied. Just some stupid threats! Nothing serious.

Chapter 232
Ive canceled all my meetings. I’m coming to you now.
That’s not necessary-
Fenris felt your distress, he cut me off. We’re
already on our way.
I sighed, trying to control my emotions. If Augustin’s wolf could sense my distress through our bond, I needed to calm down. The last thing I wanted was to distract him from his duties.
Just breathe, I told myself. We’ll figure this out together.
Less than twenty minutes later, Augustin burst into the room with Adryx and Bryloch close behind. He immediately pulled me into his arms, his scent enveloping me in a sense of safety.
“Where are they?” he demanded, looking at the Delta guard.
The guard handed over the threatening cards. Augustin read through them, his jaw tightening with each one. When he finished, he passed them to Bryloch, whose expression darkened as he read.
