Chapter 155
The celebratory birthday party turned into a nightmare in an instant.
Grace’s accusation that Billy wasn’t Henry’s biological child hung in the air, creating a suffocating atmosphere in the luxurious banquet hall.
“This isn’t just bascless gossip,” Grace continued, her voice rising with excitement, “I have evidence!”
Richard painfully tightened his grip on his daughter’s arm, but Grace refused to back down. She struggled against her father’s control, her face flushed red with the pleasure of revenge.
‘I was afraid my mother wouldn’t bring out the evidence because of my father’s intimidation,” she announced triumphantly, so I took matters into my own hands and stole the proof from her purse!”
She pulled out two crumpled documents from her clutch, waving them like victory flags. “Sophia’s prenatal records and Billy’s birth certificate–the evidence is irrefutable!
Grace turned to face the shocked relatives of the Harding family.
“Six years ago, in February, my brother had a severe heart attack and was hospitalized for over a month. He was under constant supervision by our security team and medical staff. He never left the hospital!”
Her voice, as if dipped in poison, continued: “So tell me, Sophia, when my brother was lying in a hospital bed at death’s door, how did he manage to get you pregnant?”
Catherine stood nearby, her expression filled with shock.
She hadn’t planned for Grace to reveal her evidence so publicly, but now that it was happening, she wouldn’t stop it.
“Ever since I discovered Billy’s birth certificate, Grace said, her eyes gleaming with malice, “I’ve been waiting for this moment–to expose this schemer for who she really is and make my father and grandfather see her true colors.”
Richard had finally had enough. He yanked his daughter toward the exit, his face contorted with rage. “That’s enough!”
Grace stumbled, nearly falling, but managed to twist around, still hurling accusations.
“Billy’s birthday is in December, which means you got pregnant in February!” she shouted at me. “Six years ago in February, my brother was nearly dying–he couldn’t possibly have had the strength to sleep with a slut like you!
As Richard continued pulling her away, her voice rose to a shriek: “Whore! You’ve made my brother raise another man’s child! You scheming bitch! Disgraceful! Shameless!”
Unable to watch her daughter being manhandled any longer, Catherine rushed forward, screaming at her husband.
“Richard, have you lost your humanity? Bullying your own daughter?” Her carefully maintained composure had completely crumbled. “What has Grace said that isn’t true? If Sophia had nothing to hide, how could this situation exist?”
She turned to me, her eyes burning with hatred.
“Why don’t you answer yourself, Sophia? Is Billy really Henry’s child or not?”
William’s face had turned ashen. Only now did he understand that mother and daughter had coordinated this attack against me. His breathing became labored, his hand clutching at his chest.
Mark, seeing William’s distress, quickly pulled out a small pill box. “Sir, take this immediately, he urged, placing a heart medication under William’s tongue.
In the midst of the chaos, Mark lifted Billy into his arms. “Young Master, let’s go see the beautiful fireworks prepared especially for you tonight,” he said in a gentle voice, trying to shield the child from the ugly scene unfolding.
Billy struggled against Mark’s hold. “No! I want to stay with Mommy! I need to protect her!”

Chapter 155
What had started as a joyful birthday celebration had descended into a nightmare.
The ambulance arrived within minutes. As William was being loaded in, Richard turned to Henry with a severe expression.
“Are you trying to kill your grandfather? Hasn’t today’s drama gone far enough? His voice was tight with controlled fury. “Deal with this mess. If you cant handle it properly, you’re no longer part of the Harding family!*
With Richard and William gone, Grace broke free from the security guards who had been restraining her. She stormed over to me, her face inches from mine.
‘Sophia, do you dare answer my question? Is Billy really my brother’s child or not?”
Catherine joined in, standing beside her daughter. “You’re usually so quick with your words. Why so silent now?” Her lips curved into a cruel smile. If you’re feeling guilty, just kneel down, apologize to my Grace, and say ‘I was wrong.‘ Then leave the Harding family with nothing. I might let you live in peace.
She hadn’t originally planned to handle this herself. She’d tried to find someone else to do her dirty work, but everyone she approached had refused, saying it was too unethical. Left with no choice, Catherine had decided to confront me directly.
