Chapter 149
But she seemed to have quarreled with Nicholas, so Sharon felt awkward about approaching him.
She typed hesitantly. Solar: [Let me think about it.]
The normally all–capable Sharon felt a little awkward. Just thinking about the conflict over team division that day made her irritable.
She wasn’t afraid of her identity being exposed–only the weak feared that. But she worried it might bring trouble to her brothers, especially since there had to be connections between Lostara, House of Obsidian, and Velvyn.
The secret of her bloodline was still a mystery to her.
After the lunch break, the official afternoon training began.

Sharon changed her clothes and walked out of the dorm, only to find a follower–Elise, who looked like she had something to say but held back.
“Something wrong?” Sharon paused and asked. ‘Elise wore a guilty expression. “We might hold you back.”
After all, the Vance family’s branch members were a group of losers compared to Lydia, Vivian, and others.
At first, Vivian had wanted to invite Sharon to team up and dominate first place, but now their chances were hopeless with Elise’s group.
Sharon brushed it off, expressionless. “The deserts you made last time were good.”
“Glad you liked them! Next time I’ll make more flavors for you,” Elise said.
Sharon gladly accepted Elise’s offer.
Though the Vance branch wasn’t aligned with Roxanne, they seemed inoffensive. As the family head, Sharon saw no harm in protecting them. Besides, she hated teaming up with others.
They walked to a gorgeous playground where team positions were marked. They went to their respective teams.
Shortly after, House of Obsidian instructors appeared in black uniforms with golden accents–striking and authoritative on both men and women.
Nicholas led the way, long legs striding confidently, face cool and composed, every movement a blend of strictness and elegance of a leader.
Not just Nicholas–all instructors looked gorgeous and serious in their uniforms.
Sharon watched the stage indifferently as nearby girls squealed, “So handsome! Mr. Baxter is so hot, but he’s not our instructor!”
“Caesar’s like a model–his features are stunning.”
Among the boys, they focused on Margaret and Elizabeth.
“Who’s prettier–Margaret or Elizabeth? Who’s campus bella?”
“Campus bella is just a House of Ivory thing. House of Obsidian doesn’t do that. There are other beauties, but they’re rarely seen.”
House of Obsidian was totally different from House of Ivory with odd rules.
The six instructors were all famous students from House of Obsidian.
“Who’s that guy–no reputation, but he’s Team 4’s instructor?”
“He’s the news department head. Don’t let his ordinary background fool you–never offend him. He can dig up your entire family history. No one messes with newsies in either house.”

“Seriously? Aren’t they scared of retaliation?”
The academy was full of powerful heirs, after all.
“Rumor is that they’re backed by Rufus, so they’re untouchable.”
None of the six instructors was easy to be messed with.
Nicholas took the mic on stage. “I’m your chief instructor, Nicholas. Afternoon training begins now. Your instructors will explain the competition details. It’s about teamwork–the fastest team wins.”
“Nicholas‘ voice is so sexy.”
“Oh my god, I’ll post on Instagram tonight. Just thinking about freshman camp with Nicholas makes me swoon.”
Sharon’s gaze cooled, her irritation mounting.
Next to her, Lydia huffed, “A bunch of fools.”
She thought none of them deserved Nicholas. Her goal in coming to House of Obsidian was clear–Nicholas. But Vivian had beaten her to it.
Lydia glared at Vivian. “Don’t get cocky. Your brother’s Nicholas‘ enemy–he won’t go easy on you.”
“If you’re jealous, just say it. I trust Nicholas isn’t petty,” Vivian shot back. In love rivalries, perseverance wins. Her brother’s feud with Nicholas wouldn’t affect the family alliance.
Lydia stomped her foot in anger.
Vivian added, “Instead of targeting me, go after his fiancée.”
Sharon was Nicholas‘ fiancée, after all.
To Lydia, the enemy of her enemy was her friend.
