Sharon glanced at that plate of vegetables and nodded faintly. But she ignored the plate of vegetables and just went on eating her own lood
Margaret looked at that plate of vegetables, and suddenly her eyes turned red. She lowered her head to stare at the food in front of her, losing her appetite all at once. So Nicholas wasn’t cold–hearted; he just hadn’t met the girl he loved.
Margaret picked up her tray and went straight to the other side. She didn’t want to sit there, fearing she might lose control.

She felt a bit down and lowered her head to eat on her own.

Nicholas thought for three seconds and concluded that his fiancée was more important. But he’d never been in a relationship before, so of course he had no idea how to coax a girl.
When Sharon got back to her dorm and took out her phone, she found a ton of messages and missed calls, all from her eight brothers.
Richard: [I sent Sharon a hundred text messages today, but she didn’t reply to a single one. She must be worried about disturbing my work. What a sweet girl!]
Wallace: [I called Sharon 99 times today, but she didn’t answer any of them. She must be concentrating on her classes. Sharon studying hard is so cute.]
Patrick: [I spaced out thinking about Sharon 99 times today. My agent said people who space out don’t deserve to be movie stars, but I just can’t help thinking about Sharon.]
