Chapter 134
No one had seen this coming.
‘Sharon actually attacked him! Isn’t she afraid of getting punished by the academy?‘ one thought.
‘That’s not even the point, though. This girl who looks all soft and cute just threw a six–foot guy with one hand!‘
‘Is this some kind of fantasy novel? Did we just imagine that? Are cute girls all this violent nowadays?‘
The auditorium suddenly went completely silent. Most people were shocked by Sharon’s violent move.
The Vance family’s extended relatives were startled too. Elise and Merrick exchanged glances, neither expecting Sharon to act this way.
The guy who’d been thrown into the aisle scrambled to his feet, looking pathetic and muttering curses, “Do you know who I am? You just attacked me in public: According to the academy rules, you’ve lost the right to be here. Get out.”
“You’re the one who needs to leave!” Sharon shook her fist at him. “Want to know what happens if I punch you? You’ll die.”
The guy immediately backed off, terrified of getting hit again. Of course being hit was embarrassing, but being beaten up twice by a cute girl would be worse than death.
Sharon lowered her fist and turned to Elise. “Sit down. What are you standing around for?” After speaking, she glanced at the others who were occupying
seats behind them.
Her usually gentle eyes now carried a subtle threat, as if saying, “You want this seat too? Looking for a beating?”
The people who had been so cocky moments ago quickly moved away, pretending they hadn’t said anything.
Elise saw this and immediately felt relieved. She quickly assigned seats to the children from her family. She’d expected most of them to be left out, but surprisingly, there was room for everyone.
Just in time, the bell rang and the principal walked in. “Hello everyone! Seeing you all in those young uniforms brings back memories of my youth,” he
said.
Rufus strutted in with his beer belly, looking every bit the successful businessman. To an outsider, this might have looked like some kind of pyramid
scheme meeting.
“Mr. Miller, I have a question for you,” said a girl sitting in the front row. She had a delicate face, a great figure, and naturally carried herself like a leader.
“Ms. Whitmore, your sister Elizabeth was exceptional. I’m delighted to see another member of your family at the academy. What’s on your mind?” Rufus grinned.
“According to the freshman handbook, wouldn’t students who provoke fights without reason have their admission revoked?” Lydia asked.
At this, many people turned concerned looks toward Sharon.
‘She might have been tough earlier, but now it seems karma is catching up to her,’ they thought.
Elise grew nervous. “What should we do?” she whispered. “Maybe we should explain things for her.”
If Sharon hadn’t been trying to stand up for them, she wouldn’t have broken the school rules in the first place.
Merrick hesitated for a moment. “Wait a bit. Let’s hear what Mr. Miller has to say.”
Rufus felt a sudden headache coming on. He’d deliberately arrived late to avoid dealing with Sharon’s situation, yet someone still had to bring it up. Now that it had been mentioned, he couldn’t ignore it anymore.

Chapter 134
Rufus cleared his throat and asked, “What exactly happened here? Who broke school rules?”
“I did,” Sharon admitted directly, crossing her arms. “Someone was bullying others by hogging seats. I was just cleaning up the trash
Her blunt statement was oddly satisfying to hear. After all, the troublemakers hadn’t just bothered the Vances. They’d been pushing around other smaller families too, preventing them from sitting in certain areas.
Lydia raised her chin haughtily. “But breaking school rules is still breaking school rules. Let’s keep things separate.”
“Lydia’s right,” Rufus declared. “As for those who were reserving seats earlier, all of you are expelled.”
Immediately, several students looked panicked. They’d only done it because certain powerful families had ordered them to.
Soon, academy staff arrived to call out names. Every single person who had hogged seats was identified and promptly escorted out. Not one was spared.
The great hall fell into an eerie silence.
“Mr. Miller, this isn’t fair!” someone finally shouted. “Why isn’t Sharon being punished? She broke the freshman rules too.”
Only Sharon remained unmoved, and no one dared to bother her.
Rufus cleared his throat. “Ms. Vance is different from the rest of you.”
“How is she any different? We’re all new students,” someone protested.
“Well,” Rufus explained, “she received her invitation to the academy ten years ago but only agreed to enroll now. Technically, she’s your senior. Plus, she has the same privileges as the headmaster. She’s just here as a formality, not like the rest of you.”
They were not the same at all.
Rufus‘ words infuriated Lydia. As the president’s youngest daughter, she was used to getting whatever she wanted.
But ever since Sharon showed up, she’d been stealing all the attention.
At Sharon’s coming–of–age ceremony, she somehow managed to use the Queen’s Hall, the same venue Lydia had begged her father to use for her 18th birthday but was denied.
‘How did this country girl get permission so easily? Who does she think she is?‘ Lydia wondered.
What bothered her most was Sharon’s engagement to Nicholas. From the very beginning, Lydia had despised this girl named Sharon. She was determined to make Sharon’s time at the academy miserable.
When Lydia turned around, she caught Sharon’s half–smile and superior attitude, which irritated her even more.
Sharon’s gaze remained calm and indifferent. She knew she was different and accepted the jealous and envious looks without concern.
The matter ended just like that. Sharon had tossed the guy and beaten him up, and the person who tried to take her spot got disqualified, but Sharon faced no consequences whatsoever.
Rufus spoke up again. “Now for a few minor announcements. Since we’ve changed the rules for your class, we’ll follow standard university procedures- freshman camp first, then the other assessments.”
Everyone groaned in unison. ‘Boot camp? Seriously? We can’t escape it anywhere. Wasn’t Oriston Academy supposed to be different from other schools? Why did it seem so similar to everywhere else?
“You’ll be graded as teams,” Rufus continued. “You can form your own groups, which will increase your chances of success.”
Rufus scanned the young faces in the auditorium, his expression growing more somber. ‘This is the new generation, he thought. If they knew what awaited them in the future, would they regret stepping into this academy today?*

Rufus‘ gaze lingered on Sharon before he added, “That’s all for now. And one reminder for everyone your assessment began the moment you set foot on campus. Make the most of your time here. Oriston Academy welcomes you warmly, but we won’t go easy on you. Meeting adjourned.”
The hall erupted into noise again. Sharon didn’t move, not wanting to squeeze through the crowd.
Since she stayed put, the Vance family behind her remained in place too. For some reason, Elise realized they really needed to build a good relationship with this young family head.
Despite Sharon’s age, she had just demonstrated impressive strength.
It was only then that Elise truly believed Sharon had punched Johnson so hard he ended up in the hospital during the council meeting
And the way Sharon just defended them made it clear she wasn’t on the same side as Roxanne and the Vance family. ‘If the new family head is willing to accept us, we’ll naturally support them instead,‘ Elise thought.
Half the people had already left the great hall, but all the important ones remained.
Lydia glared at Sharon, her face full of hostility.
Another girl walked up to Sharon. “Hi, I’m Vivian. My brother Caesar once told me you’re a very interesting person. Let’s be friends.”
Her tone seemed friendly, but carried an undeniable forceful edge that didn’t allow for refusal.
Sharon barely looked up, her smile more like a smirk. “I didn’t come here to make friends.”
