Chapter 202
Juno’s POV
Freya was practically vibrating with excitement as we approached the polo field. Her amber eyes sparkled with anticipation, and the couldn’t stop tables about the upcoming match.
I smiled at her enthusiasm but my attention was drawn to Adryx, who was casting mischievous glances toward Quinn. There was something playful yet predatory in his expression.
My gaze shifted to Augustin as he finished strapping on his protective gear and boots. God, he looked magnificent. The polo uniform contrasted perfectly with his olive skin, and the way the fabric stretched across his broad shoulders made my mouth go dry. Even in sports equipment, he managed to look like royalty.
“You look incredible,” I breathed before I could stop myself.
Augustin turned to me with an innocent smile that didn’t match the wicked gleam in his eyes. “Just wait until you see me on horseback, Berry.
Before he put on his helmet, I reached up and pressed a quick kiss to his lips. He winked at me.
Through our link, I could feel his eager anticipation. He wasn’t just looking forward to the match, he was relishing the opportunity to show off his skills while simultaneously messing with Quinn and Maddox.”
Once the players mounted their horses, we ladies made our way to the reserved box seats. The stands were packed with spectators from all four territories, along with media reporters and photographers capturing every moment.
I couldn’t help thinking how unfortunate it was for anyone who had chosen some other activity tonight instead of watching this match. They were missing the chance to see Augustin In his element.
When Augustin, Bryloch, Adryx, and Evanth rode onto the field, the crowd erupted in cheers. Women screamed and men applauded as the Clifflands team made their entrance, their horses prancing proudly beneath them. Augustin sat tall in the saddle, every inch the Alpha King even in sporting attire.
The announcer’s voice boomed over the loudspeakers: “Ladies and gentlemen, tonight’s match: The Clifflands Wolves versus the Forestvale Stags!”
I settled into my seat, already feeling sorry for the Forestvale team. They were about to be sorely disappointed.
“For the Clifflands Wolves,” the announcer continued, “at position one, attack and forward, Sir Bryloch Savidge!”
Bryloch raised his mallet in acknowledgment as the crowd cheered.
“At position two, attack, Sir Adryx Callaway!”
More enthusiastic applause as Adryx nodded to the crowd, his expression confident.
“At position three, attack, King Augustin Levenston!”
The stands erupted in the loudest cheers yet. Augustin waved to the crowd before turning toward our box and blowing me a kiss. I pretended to catch it and press it to my lips, returning the gesture. A camera caught the moment, and I saw our exchange projected on the large screens around the field.
“And at position four, defense, Sir Evanth Levenston!
The announcer moved on to introduce the Forestvale team: “For the Forestvale Stags, at position one, attack and forward, Alpha Matthew Harrington!
Matthew waved to a specific section of the stands, and the cameras panned to show a pregnant Isabelle smiling back at him.
I’m glad to see they’re still getting along well, I thought, genuinely pleased that their relationship seemed stable.
“At position two, attack, Alpha Maddox Blackburn!”
Maddox waved halfheartedly, his expression tight and nervous. He looked uncomfortable on his horse, his posture revealing his lack of confidence in his

riding skills.
1 bet Adryx made sure handicaps wouldn’t count for this match, I thought with amusement.
“At position three, attack, Alpha Quinn Bradshaw! And at position four, Alpha Jonathan White!”
As the final introductions concluded, I settled back in my seat, ready for what promised to be an interesting match.
The first chukka began with the throw–in of the ball. Augustin immediately took control, but instead of going for the easy shot, he deliberately steered his horse to clip the legs of Quinn’s mount. Quinn went flying, hitting the ground with a thud that was audible even from our seats.
While Quinn was struggling to his feet, Adryx casually swung his mallet, catching Quinn on the side of his helmet. The referee either didn’t see or chose to ignore the obvious foul.
When play resumed, Augustin drove the ball through the goal posts with perfect precision, and the teams switched ends of the field. The score was now 1-0 in favor of the Clifflands Wolves.
Moments later, Bryloch executed a perfect bump against Maddox’s mount, sending Maddox tumbling from his saddle. His foot caught in the stirrup, and he was dragged for several yards before the horse finally stopped.
The referee blew the whistle, stopping Maddox’s horse. The first seven–minute chukka was over, with the Clifflands team clearly dominating
