Clarine’s POV
The next moment, the black–clad bodyguards brought by Tyler showed their weapons one by
one.
The guests at the scene were frightened by this scene, screaming and trying to escape from the banquet hall.
But Tyler just waved his hand and the doors to the banquet hall were shut.
Two black–suited bodyguards stood like guardian deities on either side of the entrance.
Without his permission, no one could leave the hall.
“Hans Schneider, if you let Clarine Robinson go now and let her come with me, fewer people will get hurt.”
He pulled out a gun and pointed it directly at Hans. “Otherwise, for every minute you delay, I’ll shoot a random person here.”
My heart pounded. I never imagined that man had gone this crazy.
“Tyler, you’re insane! Threatening people’s lives is absolutely despicable!”
I turned to Hans. “I’m so sorry, I didn’t know this would happen. All of this is because of me. If I just go with him, everyone will be safe. Hans, thank you for everything during this time…”
Hans grabbed my hand tightly, cutting me off. “Clarine, if you truly want to thank me, don’t force yourself to go with him. He has men and weapons, but don’t I?”
Hans gave a cold smile.
With a gesture, a new group of bodyguards in gray uniforms appeared from the shadows, surrounding Tyler’s men.
“Tyler, have you forgotten what the Schneiders built their empire on?”
Tyler’s eyes were bloodshot and the malice in them intensified. “Of course I didn’t forget. That’s why I prepared a little gift just for you.”
He held a remote control and gestured to the giant screen behind him.
The screen was live–streaming the situation at the Schneiders‘ old estate. Tyler’s men tied Hans’s grandfather up in the center of the living room.
“I’ve also planted explosives outside this hotel and your house.”
“You’ve got ten seconds. Choose who dies first.”
My eyes widened in disbelief. “Tyler, you’re insane!”
He looked at me, a twisted smile on his face. “If you really marry him, I can go even crazier.”
“I’ve completely understood now. I can’t lose you.”
“For you, I can give up everything. So, at this moment, I’d rather die with you.”
Before anyone could react, Tyler raised the remote. “Since Hans won’t choose, I’ll do it for him. Let’s start with the hotel.”
Guests screamed in terror.

“Miss Robinson, this is your busihess. Why are we being dragged into it?”
“Yeah! Look, my daughter’s still so young! You really want her to die here?”
“Please, let us go! We just came to a wedding, we didn’t sign up to die!”
I couldn’t let this continue.
I took a deep breath, my nails digging into my palms. “Tyler, what do you really want?”
‘You. Come with me.”
Hans realized what I was planning and tried to stop me. “No, Clarine, you can’t go with him. You

I shook my head and pried his fingers off mine. “Hans, trust me. I can handle this.”
I walked toward Tyler, step by step. “Okay, I’ll go with you. Release everyone here.”
As I was leaving, Hans discreetly slipped something into my pocket.
‘It’s for your safety. If you’re in danger, just press it. I’ll be there as soon as possible.”
