Sharon smiled mysteriously, “I’ve changed my mind. I don’t really trust you anymore, Mr. Hargrove. I’m thinking about making a post online.
Malcolm forced a smile. “Please don’t, young lady. Posting online would be too extreme. Yes, you and your siblings would eventually inherit the Vance family fortune, but people would gossip forever.
“You don’t want everyone saying you killed your own family members just to take over, do you?”
‘I can take criticism about myself, but nobody gets to talk about my brothers, Sharon thought.
Meanwhile, her brothers were thinking, ‘They can insult us all they want, but nobody disrespects Shari!
All nine siblings nodded in unison. “Keep talking,” they said.
“That’s where the Elders‘ Council comes in handy,” Malcolm replied with a smug smile. “Our whole purpose is to resolve disputes between the Four Great Families.
“You’re from the main branch, after all. According to tradition, your father Thomas should have inherited the Vance family business. This position should go to whoever is most capable.”
Malcolm was clearly shifting with the political winds, which made Roxanne absolutely furious.
It was obvious Malcolm just wanted to get his hands on Sharon’s Hunter Coins. ‘What a snake,’ Roxanne thought.
Sharon gave him a half–smile. “So the Elders‘ Council can actually decide to replace the heir?”
“We can’t make that decision ourselves, but we can call a meeting and have the Four Great Families vote on it. As long as the Elders‘ Council approves it, it’s official,” Malcolm smiled.
Of course, Roxanne would have no say in the entire process. “I object!” she shouted, her face reddening.
Malcolm turned to her with a dismissive look. “Mrs. Vance, the Vance family has fallen apart under your leadership. Just give it up already, or you’ll only bring shame to your late dad?”
Roxanne’s face flushed with anger. “I don’t care. The answer is no.”
“In this matter, what you say doesn’t actually count, Mrs. Vance. The Four Great Families have rules,” Malcolm said.
“Hmph! You just want Sharon’s Hunter Coins,” Roxanne spat. “Stop pretending. She hasn’t produced a single cent yet, and you’re already switching sides. Aren’t you worried you’ll end up with nothing?”
That was a problem. Malcolm turned to Sharon. “Young lady, what about those Hunter Coins? Could you show it to everyone? Is that friend of yours awake yet?”
Karen smirked. “I doubt they’ll ever wake up.”
‘What a liar,‘ she thought.
The mention of this issue made Sharon’s teeth ache. ‘Cameron is so unreliable,‘ she thought. ‘It’s just a hundred million. Was that really worth getting
drunk over?‘
Just then, Sharon’s phone rang. She glanced at it before answering. “Hey, you’re finally awake?” Her tone was icy.
Jannie stammered on the other end, “I accidentally drank too much last night, Sorry about that, Shari.”
“You know what to do, right?” Sharon asked.

“I know. I’ll transfer it to you right away. I can at least manage that”
“Don’t mess up the digits, got it?”
“Absolutely. Just wait for my good news.”
Sharon hung up and coolly handed her phone to Joan. She noticed several pairs of eyes on h
ther
and straightened up. “What?” she asked innocently
Sharon’s brothers exchanged glances. The way she just handled that call had serious boss vibes. ‘Could Shari secretly have her own little gang? they
wondered.
Richard looked at her with warm eyes. “Nothing really. I just realized that you’re all grown up now.”
‘I’ve been an adult this whole time, you know,‘ Sharon thought.
Brent jumped in from the side, “Shari, you were so badass just now. Even more than Nick. For real. No wonder you’re his wife”
Sharon smiled with her lips pressed together, “I was just a little angry. I’m not usually like that.”
Meanwhile, Jannie was trembling behind the scenes, frantically trying to transfer money. ‘How many digits are in a hundred million again?” She thought. She couldn’t keep track. This was so hard.
‘And Shari’s tone earlier was so scary. Terrifying, Jannie thought.
Nicholas said nothing, his eyes full of affection. No matter which side of her showed up, Sharon always looked pretty adorable.
Suddenly, Brent felt eight icy stares directed at him. He shrank his neck a bit, looking awkwardly at Sharon’s eight notoriously intimidating brothers.
Marvin barely lifted his eyelids. “Kid, what did you just say? Shari is Nicholas‘ wife?”
Richard kept a straight face. “Watch what you say. Got it?”
Brent chuckled awkwardly, “Got it, heh.” Goosebumps covered his back as he finally understood what Nicholas had been dealing with. It was so difficult.
When Brent found a wife someday, he’d definitely look for an only child. ‘Girlfriend’s brothers are too scary. Especially the overprotective ones. Not worth messing with,‘ he thought.
Malcolm chimed in with a mischievous grin, “Has the money come through yet?”
Just then, a phone notification sounded.
Sharon turned her head. “Joan, show Mr. Hargrove how much money is in the account.”
Joan glanced at the notification from the Hunter Forum and sucked in a sharp breath. ‘Am I seeing the number right? It seems way too high,‘ she thought.
Malcolm maintained his composure as he opened the forum account balance, but nearly dropped his phone. “There’s really this much money?” he asked, eyes widening.
Roxanne couldn’t sit still anymore, her expression turning anxious. ‘So it’s actually true?‘ she thought.
Malcolm swallowed hard. “Let me count how many digits we’ve got here. Ones, tens, hundreds, thousands, ten thousands, hundred thousands, millions, ten millions, hundred millions, one billion?”
‘One billion Hunter Coins? I must be seeing things,‘ Malcolm thought.
