Juno’s POV
Our car pulled up to the duplex. After the disturbing discoveries at Helena’s office, I was eager to settle somewhere comfortable for the night. Augustin parked the car, and we both sat for a moment, processing everything we’d learned today.
“Ready?” he asked, his eyes studying my face.
I nodded, grateful for the chance to relax in a proper place. The staff greeted us at the entrance with warm smiles and respectful bows. Their deference to Augustin was expected, but noticed they extended similar respect to me.
“Alpha King, we’re honored by your presence,” said a young woman in a crisp uniform. “Everything has been prepared according to your specifications.”
“Thank you,” Augustin replied with a nod.
As we walked through the elegant foyer, I couldn’t help but admire the contemporary styling, so different from the Victorian grandeur of Levenston Manor. The clean lines and modern furnishings felt refreshing after the oppressive atmosphere of Helena’s office.
Quite the upgrade from gas station bathrooms and fast food, Seraphine commented in my mind.
I silently agreed. While I was excited about staying in such a beautiful place, worry about Augustin’s emotional state nagged at me. We’d uncovered a series of troubling revelations, and I doubted we’d get all the answers we were looking for. The photo of Helena with Nathanael, Gregory, and Albert had clearly disturbed him deeply.

The staff led us to our room on the upper floor, and I heard the others being shown to their accommodations down the
hall.
The master bedroom was spacious and elegant, with floor–to–ceiling windows overlooking the city. Augustin closed the door behind us and immediately wrapped his arms around my waist from behind.
“Shower? We should wash off all the dust from Helena’s house, he suggested, his lips brushing against my ear. His breath tickled my ear, sending goosebumps down my neck.
I knew damn well what he really wanted, but my stomach rumbled loudly, ruining the moment.
“What about dinner?” I asked, leaning back against his chest.
“We’ll go downstairs after our shower,” he promised, his hands sliding up to rest just below my brea
I smirked, seeing right through his innocent suggestion. “Just a shower, huh?”
His low chuckle vibrated against my back. “Among other things.

Chapter 162
Augustin’s lips found my neck, and I couldn’t help the soft moan that escaped me. Seraphine purred with satisfaction in my mind, anticipating what was to come. No matter how many mes we were together, I never tired of his touch. And right now, I could feel the tension in his body, he needed this to find his balance again after today’s discoveries,
was
was more than happy to help him with that.
His hands moved to unbutton my blouse, slowly revealing my skin to the cool air of the room. When the fabric parted, his large hands covered my breasts, squeezing gently as his thumbs brushed over my hardened nipples through the fabric of my bra.
I moaned softly, closing my eyes and surrendering to the sensation. I could already feel the wetness gathering between my thighs..
Augustin nipped at my earlobe, as he squeezed my breasts, the bastard knowing exactly how to wind me up without giving relief. I arched against him, unsatisfied with the teasing touches.
