Chapter 79
Neither of them had expected that the racers they liked would turn out to be each other. The atmosphere instantly became a little awkward, it was surprise neither had anticipated,
Sharon cleared her throat and said, “You’ve heard of Niko, right?”
“I have. He’s really impressive, but Solar Flare is pretty amazing, too. They’re both very famous,” Nicholas replied, slightly regretting that he had mentioned Solar Flare to cover his identity. He should have just said Niko.
“He’s also named Niko, which is kind of like your nickname.” Sharon suddenly realized the name sounded familiar and thought it was quite a coincidence.
Nicholas paused for a moment, then replied, “It is a coincidence, but that’s not why I’m a fan of Niko.”
“Really?” Sharon’s eyes flickered with a hint of awkwardness as she spoke. “I didn’t expect you to be a fan of Solar Flare.”
“I didn’t expect you to be a fan of Niko either,” Nicholas said.
The two of them were rivals, and their fans had always had minor conflicts, sometimes even to the point of being completely at odds. The atmosphere was a bit strained.
Soon, the police car arrived, breaking the awkward silence between them. “Who called the police?” the officer asked.
“It was me,” Nicholas spoke up. “Those two foolish women came to camp and almost got kidnapped.”
The two girls, who were once again deflated, didn’t know what expression to wear. The police almost couldn’t hold back their laughter. The handsome young man had a way with words. After a brief inquiry, the police took the girls into the car.
Before they left, the scheming girl still wasn’t willing to give up. She rushed to Nicholas, her eyes red as if she wanted to say something but couldn’t. “Sir, thank you so much this time,” she said.
Nicholas remained indifferent.
“Aren’t you going to say anything?” she asked.
Nicholas’s thin lips curled into a cold smile. “If you want to get yourself into trouble again, do it somewhere where no one can hear you. Don’t waste the police department’s time on you,” he said.
The scheming girl finally admitted defeat, realizing she couldn’t win him over.
The police car drove away. Sharon couldn’t help but smile. Today had been a pretty good day.
Nicholas checked the time. “Let’s go. It’s getting late,” he said, worried that if he took her home too late, the eight Vance brothers would beat him up..
“Okay.” Sharon nodded.
“I’ll drive the motorcycle,” Nicholas insisted this time, determined to sit in front. He didn’t want Sharon to take him home again. It felt too strange.
However, as they slowly made their way down the hill, they encountered several vans blocking the road.
One of the men, with a bruised face, got out of the van. “Now you two are really in trouble.”
“That’s right. No one can save you. It’s all because you meddled in other people’s business,” another chimed in.
The motorcycle came to a stop. Nicholas frowned, feeling like cursing. ‘Is it really that hard for me to just spend some time with Shari in peace?‘ he thought.

Before Sharon could say anything. Nicholas, with a dark expression, got off the bike and strode over aggressively.
She propped her chin up with her hand and calmly watched from the side. It was the first time she had seen a light that looked so cool.
In three minutes, the fight was over. Nicholas stood with one foot on the bruised man’s this? Do you have any idea who you’re messing with?”

Before long, the motorcycle pulled up outside Graceville Manor. As soon as the bike stopped, the gates swung open.
Eight men, all with stern expressions, marched out in unison. Richard glared at Nicholas, clearly displeased. They had been out too late.
