Chapter 23 Sharon’s Arrival
Justin replied: [Still, none of them are as good as my idol.]
He turned around and saw that his control over the surveillance at Graceville Manor was almost fully in place, then started going through the footage carefully.
The bounty post on the hunter forum had already been marked in red, and over ten thousand people had signed up.
Soon, all related intel outside Graceville Manor was uploaded to the forum for further
discussion.
Meanwhile, Sharon arrived outside Graceville Manor. She stepped out of the car and shut the door. Her enchanting eyes darkened instantly, and her beautiful face took on a stormy look.
The driver said, “Hey, miss.”
She turned back coldly. “What?” She looked like if he wanted to stir up trouble, she’d
kill him on the spot.
The driver’s hand trembled a little as he stammered, “Y–your change.”
Nicholas had overpaid earlier, and as a decent citizen, the driver couldn’t bring himself to shortchange a pretty–girl like her. But she flipped her expression way too fast. Those wide eyes of hers were straight–up murderous.
Sharon took the change, and the drive
slammed the gas and sped off, thinking, “Kids these days are terrifying. No way I’m messing with any of them.”
She carefully folded the change and planned to give it back to him when Nicholas showed up.
Sharon walked toward the entrance. The ornate, classical iron gate was tall and heavy, and with her petite figure standing in front of it, she looked especially small.
She lifted her eyes slightly and looked at the servant standing by the gate. “Open the gate.”
The servant, Greg Marshall, said, “Young lady, do you even know where you are? We don’t just let anybody in.”
A bald guy with a greasy vibe, all slicked up and sleazy, Sam Clayton, stepped out. “Hey, Greg, what kind of tone is that with a pretty girl like her? Show some manners, man.
“For all you know, she might be some broke relative of the Vance family, dropping by to mooch off someone. Gotta say though, she looks fine as hell.”
He looked Sharon up and down.“. Successfully unlocked! art, who are you here to see?”
Sharon said, “I’m here to see Mrs. Roxanne Vance.”

Sam looked a bit surprised. “Whoa, hold up, you wanna see Mrs. Roxanne Vance? Do you have an appointment?”
Sharon shook her head. “No.”
Sam had already pegged her as some poor relative of the Vance family. He rubbed his chin. “Alright then, come with me. I’ll take you to see her.”
The skinny young man beside him, Greg, suddenly spoke up, trying to warn Sharon not to go inside, “Miss, you came all by yourself to see Mrs. Vance?
“Without an appointment, there’s no way you’ll get to meet her. And even if you did, she’s not the type to just meet anyone. You should just head back.”
Sam flared up. “What the hell are you saying? Who’s in charge here, you or me? Get lost. Don’t get in the way of my business with this gorgeous young lady.”
He then turned to Sharon. “Miss, don’t listen to him. I’ve got connections. I can speak for you in front of Mrs. Vance. I promise I can let you see her.”
Seeing him walking toward her, Sharon suddenly gave an innocent smile. “Really?”
Sam sneered viciously, “Of course. Damn, you’re so pretty. Come with me.”
Sharon kept that sweet smile on her face, her left hand resting behind her back. The shadow she cast on the ground suddenly expanded like a beast’s roar, fierce and
monstrous.
However, it made no sound, and ordinary people couldn’t sense any shift in energy at
all.
Greg wiped his eyes and thought, ‘Was that just me? I could’ve sworn her shadow turned into some kind of wild beast, baring its fangs like it was ready to tear someone
apart.’
Sharon walked right through the gates of Graceville Manor. She glanced at the familiar architecture and roughly figured out which wing Roxanne lived in, then changed direction and headed that way..
Sam yelled, “Hey, miss, you’re going the wrong way. Not that direction.”
But Sharon didn’t even glance back.
Sam immediately sensed something was off and rushed forward. “Don’t push it.”
Sharon still didn’t stop. He whistled sharply in a hurry, and a group of guards rushed in from the sides to block her path.
Sam said, “You see that? If each one of them throws a punch, you won’t be able to take it. Be a good girl and come with me. If you treat me right, maybe I’ll take you to Mrs.
Vance.”
Sharon looked at him with a proud, mocking gaze. “You? Please. You think you’re

worthy?”
Sam flushed with rage and snapped, “You’ll find out real soon if I’m worthy or not. This place isn’t for people like you.”
–
He lunged toward her, his hand reaching for her neck, but before he could even touch her, Sharon grabbed his wrist.
He licked his lip. “Damn, your hands are really soft. Ah!”
That last sound came with a scream as his arm was twisted violently, now hanging midair in a crooked, rope–like shape. Sharon’s soft–looking hand had fractured his arm.
The people around her instantly shifted into alert and stared at her, realizing she hadn’t come with good intentions.
She took out a tissue and wiped her

hands. “If you don’t want to die, get out of my way.
The guards looked at each other, unsure what to do. One of them ran off to report the
situation.
But Roxanne wasn’t home at the moment–she had gone to the hospital for a checkup.
Only Madeline was around. She glanced at the surveillance footage showing Sharon and let out a cold snort. “You think just some random nobody can see Mrs. Vance now! Do you people even want to keep your jobs?”
The guard said, “But that girl doesn’t look like an ordinary person.”
“It doesn’t matter what she looks like. Just handle it the same way you’ve always handled troublemakers,” Madeline said as she casually fiddled with her nails, not even bothering to lift her eyes.
She thought, ‘What happens to Sharon has nothing to do with us. Didn’t she act all high and mighty when she left? So what’s she doing crawling back now? Pathetic.
‘Did she really think Graceville Manor was some place she could just come and go as she pleases?‘
Just then, the butler walked over. “Mrs. Vance, if this goes too far, someone might end up dead. That would be hard to clean up.”
Madeline said, “Didn’t Roxanne hate her guts too?”
The butler replied, “Yes, but she wouldn’t go as far as to kill her outright. That might stir gossip.”
Madeline clenched her jaw. That part was true. Annoyed, she said, “Then have them. keep an eye on her. Just don’t let her die.”
“Yes, ma’am.” The butler nodded and left.

Chapter 23 Sharon Arrival
Out in the courtyard, Sharon was still waiting.
Sam, with his broken arm, didn’t dare treat Sharon the way he did before. He had just barely made it into the ranks of law–ranking martial artists, and in the entire security department, he was considered the best.
But just now, he clearly felt the gap in strength between them. He was sure that if he made another reckless move, he wouldn’t be walking away alive.
Soon, someone came running back. “Captain, the butler said to bring her to the parlor
Sam thought, ‘The parlor? A glint flashed in his eyes. He scanned the people around him, then looked straight at Greg in the back. “Greg, you’re new. Take this young lady to the parlor.”
Greg hesitated for a moment but still led Sharon to the parlor. This time, Sharon didn’t stir up any trouble. She went in without resistance.
She was here to find her family. With an estate this massive, searching alone would be
waste of time.
Sharon took out her phone and glanced at it. Her bounty post had already attracted tens of thousands of participants. It wouldn’t be long before people started showing
- up.
Even with all their influence, the Vance family wouldn’t be able to quietly relocate the Crawford family now.
Sharon decided to wait a little longer. She and Greg had just stepped into the parlor when the door slammed shut behind them.
Outside the window, Sam stood grinning wickedly. “That stupid bitch didn’t know what was good for her.”
He thought, ‘Just die already.
