Chapter 17 Come At Me Together
“Heh, you finally decided to show.your face, right? Not playing the coward anymore?” Janelle sneered.
Sharon walked straight over, her petite frame seeming almost fragile in front of the burly bodyguards, like a delicate doll that could be crushed with a single punch.
But facing the fierce guards, Sharon didn’t even bat an eye. She crouched down and supported Martin. “Dad, get up.”
However, the bodyguards didn’t loosen their grip. They kept pinning Martin firmly against the carpet. Martin turned his head and looked at Sharon, anxious. “Ms. Vance, you shouldn’t have come. Run. Go find Mr. Baxter for help.”
It was obvious these people had come with bad intentions. With Sharon’s brothers currently unreachable, the only person who could help was Nicholas.
“Trying to use the Baxter family to threaten me? A branch family cast out like trash dares to cling to the Baxter name? Even if the Baxter family themselves show up, they won’t have a say in this,” Janelle scoffed in disdain.
Sharon said nothing, her cold gaze fixed on the bodyguard. “Let go. I won’t repeat myself.”
The bodyguard didn’t move. In a flash, Sharon’s hand struck out.
She hit a pressure point on the man’s arm, making it instantly go numb. The man couldn’t even hold his position, let alone restrain anyone.
Sharon used the same move to attack other guards and then helped Alyssa and her two children to their feet.
“What the hell is going on? You can’t even hold down a few civilians? Useless trash,” Janelle shouted, utterly incredulous at what she witnessed.
How could this brat be so powerful?‘ Janelle wondered.
Sharon turned slightly, her eyes cold and steady as she stared at Janelle. A sharp. killing intent seeped out of her gaze.
Sharon thought with a sneer, ‘If I heard everything right just now, this woman actually wanted to break Dad’s and Alyssa’s legs. She dares to touch my people? She will regret saying that.
“W–What’s with that look, you little brat? I’m here to settle accounts with you today,” Janelle shouted.
Sharon’s face looked confused, yet her voice was calm and indifferent. “And you are?”
Successfully unlocked!
Janelle exclaimed, “You don’t even know who I am. Her voice pitched even higher, filled with outrage.

Suddenly, a man’s amused laugh broke the tense atmosphere. A tall man with blond
hair and green eyes leaned lazily against the wall. Caesar smirked. “Wow, what a show. Beautiful lady, need a hand?”
‘Showing up as a knight and helping her out can warm her heart, huh?‘ he thought with a little excitement.
“Mr. Duncan, this isn’t your business. Stay out of it.” Janelle’s face visibly softened when she spotted Caesar. After all, he wasn’t someone she could afford to offend
either.
“Sorry, I can’t. This lady is staying in my suite. As a gentleman, I can’t just stand by and watch, right?” Caesar shrugged.
“This is your suite?” Janelle’s eyes narrowed.
She let out a mocking laugh and continued, “Gosh, what a mess. Sharon, you have such an innocent face. I didn’t expect that as Nicholas’s fiancée, you are still entangled with Caesar. Well, the women of the Vance family are all bitches.”
She thought, ‘Karen is the same. She always competes with my daughter for the title of House of Ivory’s number one socialite.”
“Wait, you’re Nicholas’s fiancée?” Caesar stroked his chin with a sly grin. His expression became subtly playful.
He added, “You know what, Nicholas and I are mortal enemies. Looks like I can’t play the role of your knight today.”
He thought, ‘Nicholas’s woman getting into trouble got nothing to do with me.”
Caesar sighed and figured it was a pity that the woman he was kind of interested in was actually Nicholas’s woman. Without hesitation, he turned and walked away.
He took out his phone and posted something on Oriston Academy’s forum: [Another beautiful day. I saw Nicholas’s fiancée getting into trouble. What a joke. He can’t even protect his own girl. What a loser.]
The post instantly attracted comments. After all, Nicholas, as the president of the student council, had popularity equal to Caesar’s, and the two had been at odds for as long as anyone could remember.

Seeing Caesar leave, Alyssa froze for a moment. She then quickly grabbed Martin’s arm and asked, “What do we do now?”
Sharon turned to Martin, her voice calm. “Hey, go back inside.”
She didn’t want them to see what was about to happen since it might scare them.
Among the bodyguards, Sharon could tell that there were two who weren’t ordinary.

Their faint yet powerful breaths marked them clearly as martial artists.
“Shari, what nonsense are you talking about? I won’t let you face this alone.” Martin moved to stand protectively in front of Sharon. “If they want a leg, take mine instead.”
“Martin, are you insane?” Alyssa’s eyes turned red instantly.
“Hmph, you? You’re not even worth it. Get lost,” Janelle scoffed.
Suddenly,
time shSharon reached out and pushed Martin back into the suite with force. This
time she was serious. Martin realized with shock that he couldn’t even resist. He was pushed effortlessly into the room.
With a loud bang, the door slammed shut. Sharon crushed the door lock with her bare hands to prevent them from coming out.
When she turned around, the vibe around her turned completely grim and creepy. Her eyes turned icy, seething with overwhelming killing intent. “Come at me together. Don’t waste my time.”
Her sweet and soft voice carried a strangely cool and striking charm when she forced
herself to be cold.
Caesar, who had already reached the elevator, couldn’t help but turn his head back out. of curiosity. He wanted to see how miserable Nicholas’s fiancée would end up. He thought if she were in real danger, he could give her a hand.
But the scene he saw was a bit different from what he imagined.
He marveled in his mind, “The bodyguards lying on the floor were beaten up by that girl? Whoa, her skills aren’t bad at all.”
Caesar’s eyes lit up in surprise. Earlier, he noticed that Janelle had two low–ranking martial artists with her. Normally, no matter how skilled a civilian was, they couldn’t beat martial artists. The gap was just too big.
Yet here they were, writhing on the floor, unable to get up.
Caesar stopped moving, deciding to stay and enjoy the show.
Meanwhile, Sharon casually rolled her wrist and stared at Janelle. “Are you going to join the battle?”
“D–Don’t come any closer. Listen, if you touch me, the Dolan family won’t let you off.” Janelle’s voice trembled with terror.
“Get lost.” Sharon’s voice carried a chilling intent, sending Janelle stumbling backward in pure fear.
Janelle wondered, ‘Isn’t Sharon supposed to be some bumpkin girl? How can she be so strong–strong enough to beat martial artists?‘
The remaining bodyguards, terrified out of their wits, scrambled away, leaving the

corridor eerily silent.
Sharon turned her gaze toward the blond man standing at the elevator and began walking toward him. She stood in front of him and asked, “You saw everything just
now?”
She remembered that this guy knew Nicholas. She was afraid the guy would blab the thing, and her secret might get out. She didn’t want that to happen.
“Relax, I won’t say a word.” Caesar raised both his hands in surrender, his face sincere.
“Good.” Sharon nodded lightly, immediately turning to leave without wasting any more
breath.
“Hey, does Nicholas know how badass you are?” Caesar called after her teasingly.
Sharon lifted her cold gaze and warned, “You’re not allowed to tell anyone.”
Caesar suddenly grinned. “Hey, with your talent and those killer moves, you’ve got a bright future ahead. You could really become someone amazing if you’re properly guided.”
Sharon gave him a look like he was some kind of scammer and clearly wasn’t interested in talking further.
“Ahem, I’m serious. Have you considered joining Oriston Academy? We offer excellent benefits, you know?” Caesar said.
He thought, ‘Anyone who can solo low–ranking martial artists at her age is a rare gem. I can’t let such a promising candidate slip away.”
Sharon’s brows furrowed slightly, and she complained inwardly, ‘Oh my, it’s that stupid
name again. It’s so annoying.”
Seeing her frown, Caesar became more excited. “Interested, huh? It’s a prestigious…. prestig-”
Before he could finish his words, the door slammed shut in his face.
