“If I don’t have money, I’ll do whatever it takes.”
I deflated like a punctured balloon, defiance leaking out of me. Those secrets couldn’t see the light—no matter the cost.
I bit out through gritted teeth, “Fine. But you’ll have to wait until I’m discharged and take over the company. That’s when I’ll
have money.”
“You’ve just been poisoned by regular Wolfsbane, yet you’re acting like you’re about to die. Your acting skills are impressive,”
Jeremy sneered.
“I don’t care when you get out of the hospital. You’ll give me the money! If you don’t, I’ll pay your precious parents a visit, or
maybe even that new mate of yours! Let’s see how they look at you after I’m done telling them everything!”
Jeremy left, swaggering with a smug smile.
I was so angry, I smashed everything in the room.
Why? Why?!
Why did Viola get a happy family, with a mate who loved her, while I was stuck with this irresponsible father?
I had worked so hard to get everything Viola had. I couldn’t let it go now!
After consuming the Miracle Elixir, I could feel my wolf’s powers getting stronger. I had to hurry and sell all of Viola’s assets.
Getting the money in my hands was the safest thing.
I had already arranged for someone to fake my identity as a werewolf from another pack. Once I had the money, I would leave this

pack behind.
I would go to another pack and start a new life.
That sorry excuse of a father and the Smith family would never find me!
With that thought in mind, I rushed to the bank.
“Sorry, is this your card?” the bank clerk asked.
“Yes?”
“This card belongs to a person name Viola. Your ID shows that your name is Jane, not Viola.”
I froze.
What did that mean?
“We’ve already signed the property transfer agreement. This card should be in my name now. Can you double–check?”
The bank clerk shook his head. “I haven’t made a mistake. This card still belongs to Ms. Viola, and it’s been frozen.”
I couldn’t understand. Why was it frozen?
Viola had transferred everything to me, and the transfer agreement was perfect. Why was everything falling apart now?

I left the bank and quickly called my friends to check the ownership of the fur company. They told me everything still belonged to
Viola, and it had nothing to do with me.
That woman had tricked me!
I tried calling Viola, but she wouldn’t answer.
What a witch!
How could she fool me like this?!
What should I do? Without the money, Jeremy would expose everything I had done. If that happened, it would all be over!
