Damian showed no sign of panic, confidently keeping his arms wrapped around Aurora.

Remembering Aurora’s goodbye letter and those hand–drawn divorce papers, Nathaniel refused to accept that she had truly abandoned him
He wiped the blood from his mouth and approached Aurora step by step, his face breaking into the smile that once made her heart race
But Aurora only felt pity for her former self–what a fool she’d been. Looking at Nathaniel now, she realized he’d always known exactly what she loved about him, but he simply hasn’t cared
He’d let her stumble along behind him, bloodied and bruised, without ever glancing back to see her suttering ||
If Nathaniel had been the carrot dangling in front of her, then Aurora had been the donkey–pathetically, thoroughly fooled.||

She pulled out
out a separatióis agreement and slammed it down in front of him. There at the signature line was his own name, perfectly executed.||
