Chapter 41
“Mr. Greg!” Sebastian bellowed. “Bring the first aid kit up here!” He wondered why she’d keep quiet with an injury like this.
Butler Greg rushed in carrying the first aid kit.
“I left her alone for less than twelve hours and came back to this! How did she even get this? Where were you when I asked you to keep an eye on here?”
Sebastian’s voice was hoarse with anger. He went to work disinfecting the wound complaining the entire time.
“This has nothing to do with Mr. Greg. It wasn’t his fault I cut my leg.”
“My profound apologies, Sir. Ms Adora knocked a vase when she was chasing you out yesterday. I think she stepped on a piece and cut her leg at that moment.”
The butler explains, cutting Sebastian’s complaints when he realized he was the culprit behind her injury.
“Leave.”
“As you wish.” Mr. Greg closed the door behind him, leaving the two of them alone in the room.
“We should have a good think about whether it was too hasty for us to get engaged at that time. And I really shouldn’t bother you with my accommodation or where I get to sleep. I can go to Bella’s home, or even live on campus at school.”
“Mmm.” Was Sebastian’s only reply, he didn’t stop cleaning her wound even look at her.
Sebastian’s lackluster behavior towards the conversation only proved to Adora that he didn’t care about her anymore. Well, what was she expecting? Adora has gave up and resigned to her fate.
Sebastian finished bandaging her leg in silence. He turned around and walked out of the room without a word. Adora hobbled to her wardrobe and brought out her clothes. The earlier she left, the better for the both of them.
Just as Adora finished packing her bags, Sebastian returned back to the room holding a piece of the vase she had broken the previous day.
“I don’t know how to let you to forgive me. I know that I was wrong. I was never good at expressing my emotions, and no amount of sweetness would express how sorry I am. I was meant to protect you, yet I only succeeded in hurting you. It’s only fair that I should pay the price:”
As soon as he finished his words, he plunged the sharp glass into the calf of his leg, exactly where Adora was injured.
This was the only thing Sebastian could think of as an apology. He was willing to do anything to earn her forgiveness.
“Sebastian you
bastard!”
Adora threw her suitcase and ran to check his wounds. The guy didn’t hold back in plunging the glass. It was so deep, burying half its length inside.
Red blood gushed out from the cut, Adora tried to stop it but was too much, soaking her hands in second. It was too much for

her to handle, she felt light headed and dizzy, falling to the ground.
Sebastian was only proving his sincere apologies, but didn’t think he’ll only make it worse when Adora’s eyes rolled back and fainted.
Adora woke up in a bright room with a snow–white ceiling staring back at her and a strong smell of disinfectant. The memories from before rushed back to her brain.
“Sebastian!”
She shot up on the bed screaming Sebastian’s name, then realized she was surrounded by several doctors standing beside her
bed.
“See,” One of the men white robes gestured at her. “We told you, Mr. Sterling. Ms Adora was just unconscious. Nothing was wrong with her, she just fainted and now has awakened.”
“Are you sure?” Sebastian standing somewhere in the crowd turned to look at her. “Does your body feel uncomfortable anywhere?”
Adora shook her head, then glanced at Sebastian’s calf.
“How is your leg?” Adora asked, then faced the doctor closest to her. “Sir, has he been treated? How bad is the wound?”
The doctor glanced at Sebastian through the corners of his eyes and smiled. Sebastian rolled his eyes and gave him a meaningful look.
“Ahem,” the doctor started. “Actually, Mr. Sterling’s injury is a very serious one.”
“Really!?” Adora’s eyes widened in fear. “What should I do? Does he need surgery?”
“I’m sorry ma’am, the incision is too deep. There’s no need for surgery though, just profound care and he’ll be alright.”
“Then, can you please tell me what to do?”
“Throughout that period, he shouldn’t come in contact with water and don’t feed him spicy food. That’s very necessary.”
“Really?” Adora’s brows creased.
“Seriously.”
“Alright doctor, please write down the dos and don’ts. I’ll take care of him until it’s healed.”
“Perfect, I’ll get to it..”
The doctors left one by one, leaving the two behind. Adora glanced at Sebastian worriedly, but Sebastian was trying hard to conceal the smile on his lips.
Adora shot him a glare.
“How can you still smile in a situation like this? Didn’t you hear what the doctor said? Your face is already scarred, do you want to add another disability to yourself? For the duration of this injury, you’ll have to minimize your movement!” Adora ordered.

“Will you stay if I do?” Sebastian blinked innocently.
“I will stay here for now, everything depends on your future performance.”
Adora was discharged sometimes in the evening. It was already dark by the time they returned home.
After the two had finished dinner together and Adora was prepared to go upstairs.
“My leg so hurts, I don’t think I’ll be able to walk.” Sebastian threw Adora a vulnerable look.
Butler Greg, who was standing by the side, choked on his saliva. Just ten minutes ago, when Ms Adora was in the bathroom, Sebastian obviously could walk around freely without any support.
Why can’t he walk suddenly just after eating a meal?
