Chapter 14
Julia’s POV
He ran all the way to his parents‘ former house, where he had been housing Tamara. Darren’s large wolf form burst through the door, breaking it down.
He growled as he stalked through the house with murder in his eyes. The house was dark, and looked empty.
He sniffed, but there was no scent in the house, but he wasn’t going to be fooled. They had Oblivion with them.
He shifted back to his human form, fully clothed.
“Tamara!” He yelled, his voice echoed through the house. “Tamara! You fucking bitch! I know you’re in there! Come out!”
He walked through the rooms of the house slowly and cautiously.
“Hey, Darren. Why are you yelling?” Tamara’s voice taunted from a room in the house.
“You know why! You psychotic bitch! You fucking deceived me!” He growled, rushing to the room to find it empty, only a small speaker was there. He crushed the speaker with his foot in anger.
Tamara laughed bitterly. “Can you blame me? I was just trying to return the favour.”
Darren’s eyes burned with hate and anger as he rushed into another room that her voice was coming from. It was empty. Her voice was coming from another speaker.
Darren crushed it and growled out in frustration.
“Where are you, you fucking bitch?!” He yelled.
Tamara cackled maniacally. “So, did you enjoy my gift?”
She meant our fetus that she had placed in a jar.
Darren growled and burst into another room, to find it empty also.
“I hope you liked it, because I have another for you.” She sang.
Suddenly, the large TV in the living room turned on, and the horrifying scene of my torture played out. Darren stood frozen as he watched the scene play out. I could see the guilt eating into Darren as he stared in horror at what Tamara did to me for days.
However, he didn’t know that the TV was a distraction. They knew they couldn’t fight an alpha werewolf head on, so they decided to distract him.
“Darren! Watch out!” I yelled, unheard.
One of Tamara’s men jumped out from behind and stabbed Darren with the same dagger that Tamara had used to tear open my womb.
“No! Darren!” I cried out desperately.
Darren shook the man off easily, and within seconds killed him without even shifting to his wolf
form.
The remaining two men attacked Darren, but he easily killed them also.
His eyes were blazing with anger, as Tamara finally stepped out of the shadows from the other

side of the living room with an evil grin on her face.
I immediately became worried. Why was she smiling? What did she have planned?
She bent down slowly and picked up the dagger that was used to stab Darren.
“You really are a very stupid person.” She mocked with a twisted grin.
Darren growled, and stalked towards her. However, the sound of footsteps filled the house. The pack’s task force were here, led by Beta Sean.
Tamara gave a bitter laugh.
“Well, it has been fun watching you dance to the tune of my music. Unfortunately, the fun ends
here.”
Then she grinned. “I hope you like my last gift to you.”
Before anyone could react, she stabbed herself in the chest hard with the dagger in her hand. Darren’s eyes widened with rage, and he lunged at her.
“No! No! Why did you do that?! I wanted to do that myself! No! You cannot just die easily after what you did!”
She smirked, then her body tensed and she began foaming before she died.
Darren’s eyebrows furrowed, then his eyes widened in horror.
“No!” I screamed again. The dagger was poisoned. That was why she wasn’t worried because Darren had already been stabbed by the poisoned dagger. Because he was an alpha, the effect was delayed, but he would still die.
Sean rushed to pull Darren from Tamara’s body, but Darren’s body tensed, and he began foaming at the mouth. His body started twitching uncontrollably.
“Alpha Darren! Alpha Darren! Somebody help!” Sean yelled out desperately.
The dagger was poisoned by the moonfire drug in its purest form. This was Tamara’s last gift to
Darren.
I watched in pain, as Darren gasped and struggled for air. Then to my surprise, he turned and looked straight at me. Tears began to stream down his face freely.
“I… I’m so sorry…” he whispered, with a sob.
Tears flowed down my own face as I watched him struggle in pain.
‘For…forgive… me, Jules” he whispered softly.
I squeezed my eyes shut, my chest tightening with pain. That was a nickname I hadn’t heard in four months.
I felt myself fading away as I began to disappear.
gave Darren a warm and loving smile.
‘I love you, Darren.” I replied softly.
