“And you, you’re to apologize to Vivienne in front of the entire school tomorrow morning. And it
better be worth it.”
Mr. Ashford sneered at the Dean. “Heh, look at the fingerprints on my daughter’s face. Yet you think some stupid words of mouth would compensate for the pain she’s going through? Ridiculous!” He faced his daughter.
“Vivienne, how hard did she hit you? I want you to hit her back twice as hard.”
That was all Vivienne was waiting for. Grinning like mad, she approached Adora, ready for her
revenge.
“Mr. Theo, are you even aware of what happened? You can’t just decide to punish me without knowing the whole story.” Adora exclaimed. She refused to stand back and watch them bully her. “I won’t apologize to Vivienne. She was the one that started this. She attacked Bella first!”
“Stop spouting lies, Adora. You started this!” Vivienne interrupted her; lest the truth got exposed. She raised her hand, ready to slap Adora across the face. Adora saw this but was too late to react. She
closed her eyes, bracing herself for the pain.
Several seconds passed, but the pain never came.
Slowly, she opened her eyes. Right next to her, Sebastian held Vivienne’s wrist up in the air, intercepting the slap.
“My hand… Let me go, you monster and ugly man! Where the hell did you even come from?” Due to the strength of his grip, Vivienne’s face twisted in pain as she tried to get him to let go.
With one final squeeze, Sebastian let go of her hand like it was trash and turned to face Mr. Theo.
“Mr. Sterling, what brought you here unannounced?” Dean Theo stood up hastily, approaching
Sebastian.
This has nothing to do with the Sterlings. He briefly wondered why Sebastian was here out of the
blue.
“From now on, I’ll be responsible for all Adora’s affairs from now henceforth.” Sebastian declared to
the now silent room, but his attention was on the scratches covering Adora’s arm.

His expression darkened as he looked at Vivienne, who backed away from the unwanted attention.
She might not know who he is, but any member of the Sterling family is not to be messed with, even more so with his scary face.
At that, she remembered the rumors about a bastard child of the Sterlings that was forgotten in a burning house. He had to be the one.
But Vivienne’s train of thought was interrupted when another hard slap landed on her left cheek, matching the other side.
For the second time today, Adora had managed to beat her, and she couldn’t get revenge, especially now in the presence of the Dean.
“You must be tired of living, Adora Rockefeller, I’ll get you back for this.” Vivienne vowed.
“Watch your words, Vivienne. You can trash me as much as you want, but don’t you dare touch Bella again. Nor are you allowed to badmouth Sebastian either.”
Adora was angry now. She isn’t about to stand back and watch someone she cared about slandered
and being one with a short fuse, Adora reacted without thinking.
The scar on Sebastian’s face is enough evidence of all the hardship he went through. Why would
anyone need to point it out to him?
Adora’s words took Sebastian by surprise. His heart fluttered, the coldness shrouding it dispersed a
little.
“Calm down, kitten.” Sebastian cooed, brushing Adora’s wavy brown hair with his infamous smirk dancing on his lips.
“Where’s the surveillance video? That is enough to clear out the dispute going on here. If Adora is found guilty, I’ll take responsibility and apologize on her behalf. And if she’s being framed, I’ll make whoever the culprit is pay.”
Mr. Theo dabbed the beads of sweat from his forehead. He had rushed to conclusions when Adora’s father refused to cooperate; thus, he favored Vivienne. He didn’t expect this to turn around and bite
him on the ass.
How is he supposed to know she’s related to the Sterling family?
“Brilliant idea, Mr. Sterling! That had completely slipped off my mind. I’ll go check the surveillance

right away.”
Vivienne panicked when the Dean returned to his desk, but her father’s reassuring smile comforted
her.
Mr. Ashford knew what his daughter was capable of. The girl had been spoiled since childhood, so he had someone delete the video before coming into the Dean’s office.
When Mr. Theo searched for the video, it was nowhere on the record. He scrolled and scrolled again,
but nothing appeared.
“I think there’s something wrong with the school’s camera. I can’t find the record anywhere.” He
exclaimed in confusion.
Sebastian’s brows knit in thought. He walked around the desk to the screen.
“Please, have a seat ” Mr. Theo readily abandoned his seat for Sebastian and stood behind him,
watching.
Sebastian typed in some keys, and in less than two minutes, the missing video reappeared in the log.
The catfight was caught vividly on camera, including all of Vivienne’s insults.
She was the culprit, after all.
It was funny how things took a swift turn the moment Sebastian appeared.
“We’ve all heard and seen what happened. Mr. Ashford, I suggest you go through with your words and apologize.”
