Chapter 18
The following day, Adora went downstairs to eat breakfast with dark circles under her eyes. It was
apparent that she, too, didn’t have a good night’s sleep as well last night.
“You have less than 30 minutes left if you don’t want to be late,” Sebastian’s voice called from the
kitchen.
Adora was playing with her bacon when the words hit her. Her eyes widened in shock, and she suddenly sprang up from her chair.
“Shit! I still have class today!”
“Ms. Rockefeller, please do not fret. Mr. Sterling will drop you off in a while.” The butler, Mr. Greg,
told her with a smile.
Adora glanced at Sebastian, wondering if this would trouble him.
“Eat slowly. I’ll wait for you at the door.”
Sebastian had already eaten breakfast and sipped the last bits of his milk. He gave Adora a meaningful look before walking out.
Her thoughts flashed back to what had happened in the room last night.
The damned milk that had made her embarrassed in front of him.
But Adora didn’t have time to dwell on that with time running out. She hastily took large bites of her
sandwich and hurried to meet him.
Sebastian was already waiting for her in the car.
“I’m ready whenever you are.” Adora panted, slamming the passenger door shut.
The ride was slow, but they arrived at the college just in time.
Before she got out of the car, Adora glanced at the Rolls–Royce emblem,
“Why not change this car and rent another one? It’ll cost much to use this daily.”

They need to start planning for their future together since they are engaged.
They might soon need to draft up financial plans for after marriage. Sebastian had been nothing but kind to her. And relationship only works when two people put in the effort.
“Okay.” Was his only reply. Adora never failed to amuse him. His little fiancée cared about him so
much he couldn’t let her down.
“Well, I’ll go in first. See you later.”
Adora waved him off and trotted into the school gate.
When he could no longer see her, Sebastian picked up his phone and called his assistant.
“Hey Alex, let’s exchange cars. Bring yours over.” Without waiting for the man’s reply, he hung up
the phone.
As his assistant, the man never fails to comply with Sebastian’s demands. No matter how ridiculous they may be.
But what Sebastian didn’t know was that the poor man was shocked, holding his phone. He didn’t
think his boss would suddenly sprout a heart and give out his precious Rolls–Royce. Finally, the efforts of his endurance are paying off.
He better not need it back, though, because Alex cannot guarantee its safety if he’s riding it.
Adora ran into the dance lesson. Along the way, she noticed many classmates looked at her weirdly, but she did not have time for drama. She had more things to worry about on her plate.
The dance studio was filled with people stretching and rehearsing when she walked in.
She glanced at the classroom and realized that the teacher was still yet to come, and she was
relieved. If the teacher came earlier than her, the woman would make her stand outside the class for
10 minutes. She wasn’t prepared for that.
“Adora!” Bella barreled into Adora, knocking her to the wall. She leaned down and whispered to her
ears.
“Adora! What happened yesterday!? Did anything happen between you and Hilary? I thought your relationship was great!” She bombarded her with question after question.
“That bitch Viv is spreading rumors that Hilary has canceled your engagement. Please tell me the

bitch is lying.”
Adora nodded, looking at the ground. When Bella saw her friend’s crestfallen expression, she pulled her into a bear hug.
“I’m sorry, Adora. I wish I knew. I would’ve stayed back when you needed me.” Bella felt guilty for not being there for her best friend. The two were best friends from high school to university. But she couldn’t attend the party because of her dance performance in the next town.
She never thought the party would end up like this.
Adora smiled at her friend. Of all the people she knew, only Bella actually cared about her.
“Let’s not mention that scumbag anymore, Bells. Don’t worry, I’m fine. I should be glad his true
colors came out before it was too late.
“I
“Well, look who we have here. I never thought you had the courage to show your face here after what happened.” Vivienne sauntered over to the two.
“If I were you, I would find a place and hide after getting ruthlessly dumped by my boyfriend.” She let out a series of giggles.
Vivienne had been like that since they were in high school. She was always picking on Adora because of her pretty face. She thought that in college, she would finally be able to stand out when Adora was no longer around, which was bold of her despite the numerous amount of beautiful
women.
But luck was against her when Adora applied for the same college. And as long as Adora is around,
it’s like she doesn’t even exist.
Now with this incident, Vivienne could finally express all her grudges at Adora. She had tried to get dirt on her, but Adora had always been clean.
Up until Hilary broke up with her. It was only natural for Vivienne to rejoice at her misfortune.
“If you have anything to say, say it directly, Viv. I’m tired of your sick games.” Adora said in a bored
tone.
