Willow’s eyes glimmered with curiosity.
Wilson glanced at her and said, “You talk too much.”
Willow secretly stuck out her tongue. Gossip about Wilson was rare, so she couldn’t resist probing a little further.
Just then, the bathroom door clicked open, and Serena stepped out wrapped in a white bathrobe.
Willow’s eyes lit up. The woman’s chestnut–colored hair was pinned up, revealing her stunning features.
Her lips were a soft, rosy htie, and her skin was as flawless as porcelain with a faint pink glow. She was breathtakingly beautiful.
“Wow, my brother has good taste,” Willow thought to herself.
Wilson glanced at Serena briefly before looking away. He said, “This is Willow Quade. She’s a doctor and knows about these things. Let her check on you.”
“Hello, Ms. Quade,” Serena greeted politely.
“Just call me Willow. I’m Wilson’s cousin,” Willow replied with a warm smile as she stepped forward to take Serena’s temperature,
“Don’t worry. These things usually pass on their own once the effects wear off. But if you’re feeling very uncomfortable, I can give you something to ease the symptoms.”
“Alright,” Serena agreed as she sat quietly on the bed while Willow examined her.
Wilson then turned and walked out of the room. As soon as the door closed, Willow couldn’t help but ask, “So, how far have things progressed between you and my cousin?”
Serena was stunned. “You’re mistaken. Mr. Quade and I only have a professional superior–subordinate relationship.”
“Come on, don’t play coy. Wilson doesn’t act this way unless he cares about someone. I’ve never seen him this considerate before.”
“Actually, Mr. Quade is a good person in private,” Serena admitted.
“Ha!” Willow couldn’t help but laugh out loud. “Ms. Judd, Ithink you misunderstood Wilson quite a bit.”
Serena looked surprised. “Do you know me?”
course. Your history with Justin Farrow is well–known in certain circles. I’ve heard about it too.”
“Is that so?” Serena muttered. How great. It seemed the whole world knew she used to be Justin’s pathetic admirer.
“You made the right decision leaving Farrow Corporation. Jestin Farrow doesn’t deserve a beauty like you.” Willow’s mischievous smile deepened on her beautiful face “You should be with my cousin instead.”
Serena remained silent.
Wilson was making a call outside the house. Just as he hung up, the apartment door opened, and Willow walked
“There shouldn’t be any major issues. I gave Serena some medication. She’ll be fine after a good night’s sleep. She just needs to drink plenty of water and focus on detoxing over the next couple of days.”

“She’s asleep?”
“Yes, she’s resting now. Want to go in and check on her?”
“I have other things to handle.”
Wilson then glanced at the apartment door. He left a bodyguard behind and headed downstairs with Willow and another bodyguard.
“How did you get here?” he asked.
“I drove myself,” Willow said while gesturing to the street. There was a white Maserati parked across the road.
“Drive safely,” Wilson said.
Willow nodded but turned back before leaving. “Will, I didn’t expect you to be such a gentleman.”
“Speak plainly,” Wilson replied.
“I’m just surprised. Serena was drugged and so out of it earlier. It was such a good opportunity, and you let it go. I have to say, I’m impressed,” Willow continued.
“It seems your opinion of my moral standards is remarkably low.”
After Willow’s car disappeared down the street, Wilson got into the back seat of the Rolls–Royce. His strikingly handsome face was clouded with a cold, sharp edge.
“Let’s head back,” he ordered.
