Forever His: The Alpha’s Possession
The Alpha’s Possession 28
Rishima asked calmly, ‘About what?”
“About the wolf you’re planning to meet,” Zvonimir growled, his gaze dark and menacing.
Rishima lifted her eyes to meet his, her lips curving into a taunting smile. “Very well. If you’re so curious, I won’t hide it.”
“Speak, Zvonimir demanded.
Rishima replied indifferently, “As you said, I’m pretending to be pure I’m desperate to meet him in Z–state. But what does that have to do with you? We’re no longer mates. You can find a new mate; why can’t I find another wolf?”
Zvonimir tightened his grip on her chin, his voice filled with menace “No wonder you kept picking fights with me back then! Were you planning to leave me all along? Were you cheating on me from the start?
Rishima winced at the pain, trying to break free, but when she couldn’t, she sneered. “That’s right. Ever since you started fooling around with Farah, I’ve wanted to end our bond! You disgust me!”
Before Zvonimir could explode in rage, she provoked him further. “Do you know how I found my new wolf? It was simple. I matched with a random wolf on WhatsApp. He happened to be in the empire on business, and we-”
Bang!
Zvonimir punched the backseat beside her, roaring, “Say that again!”
Rishima smiled faintly. “We slept together.”
Zvonimir’s hand shot to her throat, his eyes filled with murderous intent. His grip tightened mercilessly, as though he would kill her)
in the next second.
But as he stared at her face, he hesitated. His hands trembled slightly before releasing her. Frustrated, he lit another cigarette,
taking a harsh drag.
“Get out!” he spat.
Coughing violently, Rishima froze at his command, then quickly recovered. Overcome with relief, she scrambled out of the car.
The driver, seeing her emerge, was curious but didn’t dare ask questions. Following Zvonimir’s orders, he retrieved her luggage from
the trunk.
The car sped away, leaving Rishima standing alone on the roadside. She let out a long sigh of relief, suppressing the ache in her heart. With a silent smile, she took out her phone and booked another flight.
She thought she should thank Zelda for fabricating a new mate. Without that, Zvonimir wouldn’t have been provoked into letting her go.
In the end, Zvonimir let her go because he found her dirty–tainted by another wolf. The reason he liked Farah so much, after all, was because she seemed pure and innocent.
At,3 PM, the sun was still blazing fiercely. Although there were plenty of trees along the road, sweat trickled down from Rishima’s
forehead.
The weather in the empire was always like this–clearly the start of spring, yet it felt as hot as midsummer. The stifling heat left the residents irritable.

Rishima thought that the weather in state Z was much better, with four distinct seasons, perfect for pregnancy care.
She wiped her sweat, silently cursing Zvonimir for his insanity that had disrupted her plans and left her stranded here in the oppressive sun. On top of that, she would now have to spend more money on a new plane ticket.
While waiting for the taxi she had booked to arrive, Rishima opened her suitcase and pulled out a t–shirt.
Earlier, while in the car, Zvonimir had yanked off two buttons from her blouse, leaving it soaked with sweat. She couldn’t go to the airport looking this disheveled.
After about twenty minutes, the taxi Rishima booked through the app finally arrived.
The driver got out to help load her luggage into the trunk, but the screeching sound of brakes interrupted them. Looking up, Rishima saw a black Lamborghini blocking the taxi’s path.
Her expression changed as she clenched the tissue in her hand tightly.
The taxi driver, clearly annoyed, stomped over and shouted, “Hey!“Do you even know how to drive? Can’t you see my car is parked here? Don’t think I’m afraid of you just because you’re driving a luxury car! Are you blind or what-”
“Move!” Zvonimir stepped out of the car, his face expressionless but his icy gaze fixed on Rishima. Without a word, he shoved the loud driver aside.
The taxi driver, a burly male wolf, stumbled back a few steps, stunned. “Hey, hey, hey! You’re way too aggressive!”
Zvonimir’s cold eyes swept over the driver, silencing him instantly. The taxi driver instinctively reached for his neck as if an invisible hand had gripped it, and he quickly shut up.
Zvonimir approached Rishima. His towering figure loomed over her, exerting a suffocating pressure. Pointing to his car, he commanded, “Get in!”
Rishima, her cheeks flushed from standing in the scorching sun for so long, asked warily, “What do you want this time?”
Impatient, Zvonimir grabbed her wrist and began dragging her;
driver and said, “Bring her luggage to my car.”
away. After taking a couple of steps, he glanced back at the taxi
The taxi driver, intimidated by Zvonimir’s domineering demeanor and suspecting he might be an Alpha of a major pack, decided not to stir up trouble. Reluctantly, he transferred Rishima’s luggage to Zvonimir’s trunk.
Zvonimir pulled out a wad of cash from his wallet and handed it to the taxi driver. “For your trouble.”
The driver’s eyes lit up as he quickly pocketed the money. “Thanks…
Before he could finish his sentence, Zvonimir had already driven off.
Rishima sat in the passenger seat, stunned at how she had been taken away so easily. With the car doors locked, escaping was impossible. She wanted to lash out but lacked the energy.
Zvonimir, on the other hand, seemed to be in a good mood. Tapping his fingers rhythmically on the steering wheel, he glanced at her and complimented, “That shirt looks nice. I don’t think I’ve seen you wear it before.”
The pale yellow t–shirt made Rishima look youthful and adorable. Her fair skin and casual attire gave her the appearance of a fresh- faced college graduate.
Hearing the compliment, Rishima’s eyes flashed with sarcasm. She replied flatly, “That’s because I never had the chance to wear it before.”
