Chapter 140 Do You Want To Make Love In The Office?
Gabrielle
Lately, I had been stuck at home, only going out once with Ryan to the mall
With so much free time, I found my thoughts drifting to him more and more, his presence lingered in my mind like an echo I couldn’t shake.
Was I starting to care about him too much?
Was this–longing?
Eventually, I couldn’t resist anymore. Even though I knew he was busy with work, I decided to show up at his law firm and surprise him.
Ryan pulled me into his arms the moment he saw me, pressing a gentle kiss to my cheek. His voice was warm and indulgent.
“What brings you here?”
I blinked at him playfully, my lips curving into a teasing smile.
“Am I not allowed to visit you? Are you not happy to see me?”
Ryan let out a soft chuckle, his fingers absently brushing through my hair.
“How could that be? I was just worried–your body hasn’t fully recovered yet. I don’t want you overexerting yourself.”
I rolled my eyes, pretending to be annoyed.
“Don’t treat me like I’m made of glass, Ryan. I’m not that fragile.”
Ryan chuckled, his gaze filled with amusement. He lightly pinched the tip of my nose and asked with a smile,
“So, what’s the surprise you mentioned?”
I huffed dramatically.
“Me, obviously–isn’t my presence enough of a surprise?”
Ryan burst into laughter, pulling me even closer. His voice dropped to a tender murmur,
“Baby, you’re the best surprise I could ask for.”
My heart skipped a beat, and I couldn’t stop the smile that spread across my lips. Excitedly. I pulled out the takeout box from behind my back and waved it in front of him.
“Look, I made some desserts today and brought them for you to try. That counts as a surprise, night?”
Ryan took the box and opened it. Seeing the pastries inside, his smile deepened.
“Of course, it does. I’m beyond flattered.”
I lifted my chin, feigning arrogance.

Leaning close to my ear, he whispered seductively, “Baby, don’t you want to see how it feels–to do it in the office?”
