Chapter 96 Vincent Arrives
Rage and agony pushed me to the edge of madness. I twisted and
struggled desperately, the ropes digging deep into my skin. I just
wanted to lunge at him and tear him apart!
The masked man didn’t flinch. He just stood there, only watching me
struggle with nothing but cold amusement in his eyes.
He let out a mocking laugh and taunted, “Give it up. Even if you
manage to break free, you’ll only end up in the ocean–right where your
son is.”
My entire world crumbled. My head dropped and hot tears poured
down my face.
Toby, my baby! You’re so young–are we really going to be separated
forever?
A sob tore through my throat, so raw and broken I could barely breathe. I called his name over and over again, drowning in grief-
It felt like my heart had been torn into pieces. I was losing my mind.
Then, the masked man put away his phone.
He stepped forward. Without warning he grabbed my chin, forcing me
to look up.
His icy stare held not a trace of mercy. His voice was low, almost taunting, “Aren’t you crurious why I brought you here?”

Tears blurred my vision, but my fury burned through them, “What the
hell did I ever do to you? Why did you and Brandon kill my child?”
By now, I knew–this man was the mastermind behind everything. But
with his mask on, I had no idea who he was. And he still didn’t answer
- me. Instead, he suddenly turned toward Claire.
His gaze shifted between me and Claire before his lips curled into a
smirk, “How about we play an exciting game?”
I froze for a moment upon hearing his words, but my mind was filled with thoughts of Toby. How could I possibly have the energy to play
any sort of game with him?
I struggled violently, kicking and flailing at him in midair, but with the ropes binding me, I couldn’t even get close to him–let alone hurt him.
He didn’t even react. He just stood there, completely unbothered, “I bet
you both want to know,” he mused, “who is Vincent’s true love?”
His eyes locked onto mine, “Is it you-” He paused, then turned to
Claire and pointed at her. “Or her?”
My heart sank instantly. My breath caught in my throat.
How the hell does he know about that?
He knew everything–about Vincent, Claire, and me. Every last detail.
But I had never seen him before in my life. I didn’t even recognize
who he was.

I shouted loudly, my voice raw, “I don’t care anymore! Vincent and I are
getting divorce!”
At this point, my marriage with Vincent was nothing but a joke. There
was no point in competing with Claire. I already knew who Vincent
would choose.
But the man barely reacted. He gently shook his head, his eyes filled
with mockery, “What a pity. I’m suddenly in the mood to play.”
Claire, who had been silent until now, suddenly let out a sharp scream.
Her voice trembled with panic, “What do you want from us? Let us go!”
I turned to her, startled.
She looked even more terrified than I was. Her face twisted with fear.
Suddenly, the cruise ship started changing course, steering toward the
shore.
“Don’t be afraid. The game is about to begin.” The masked man let out
a chilling laugh.
The ship moved closer and closer to the shore.
I lifted my head, eyes instinctively searching the land.
And then–I saw him, a figure so familiar.
