Chapter 17
Thalia had witnessed Louie deal with a man who had made inappropriate comments about Celia in the basement of the villa.
The man’s desperate cries for mercy and the sight of him being dragged out covered in bruises and wounds haunted her for days.
She had nightmares about it for days.
Louie looked at Thalia with disgust and waved his hand, signaling for the bodyguards to drag her
away.
Jenna, lying in the hospital bed, was terrified, her face pale as she called out, “Mom, Dad…
Louie didn’t even glance at her, instead ordering his assistant to have an orphanage take Jenna away.
Then he instructed his assistant to issue a nationwide missing person notice: “A reward of 20 million for anyone who can provide information about my wife.”
With such a large reward, he didn’t believe he wouldn’t be able to find Celia.
Louie’s flashy and high–profile search for Celia quickly made its way to New York.
Sitting in his executive chair, Matthew played with a pure gold lighter in his hand. “Louie is really a nouveau riche. This grand gesture shows he still hasn’t let go of you.”
Celia lazily leaned on the sofa, eating fruit that Matthew had specially airlifted from overseas.
“What’s wrong? Are you jealous, Mr. Curtis?”
Matthew suddenly leaned down, his breath only a few centimeters away from her.
“You’re my wife now. I’m not stupid enough to be jealous of a nouveau riche.”
But in truth, he was burning with jealousy.
The thought that she once loved Louie made him grit his teeth in resentment.

Celia extended a grape to Matthew’s lips. “Have one, honey.”
Her calling him “honey” made Matthew’s whole body heat up.
He turned his head, swallowing hard, his throat bobbing.
Celia couldn’t believe that the “cold and indifferent” Mr. Curtis of New York, who never showed interest in women, could now be the blushing, passionate man in front of her.
“Not eating? Then I’ll eat…” she started to say before Matthew suddenly turned his head and kissed her. His hand swiftly cradled her neck.
His kiss was forceful and without finesse, chaotic and almost juvenile.
Gasping between kisses, Celia spoke up.
“Mr. Curtis, you’re not first–time, are you?”
At this, Matthew’s neck flushed deep red.
He kissed her again, forcefully prying her lips open.
He picked her up in his arms and pressed her against the wall.
Suddenly, a door appeared.
Celia widened her eyes as she looked at the large bedroom that had appeared before her. She was
left in deep thought.
Matthew pressed a button on the intercom connected to the outside. “From now until the end of the workday, no one is allowed to call or come in.”
But it was still only lunch break…
Celia seemed to have offended someone she shouldn’t have.
Matthew gently placed her on the bed and then pressed another button, and the door slo
closed.
He leaned over her, like a hungry wolf, staring at her.
“Soon it won’t be…” he murmured.

After yet another peak, Celia was finally able to catch her breath
She was screaming silently in her mind.
Wasn’t he supposed to be… not very energetic?
How could Matthew be so tireless? It felt like there was an engine running inside him.
Looking at the clock, it was well past working hours, probably already dark outside.
Celia tentatively spoke up, “Mr. Curtis, how about we go have dinner?
Matthew propped himself up, “I’m not hungry.”
He then circled his arm around her waist again, arching his back.
Celia widened her eyes in fear, pushing him away. “I… I’m hungry!”
Matthew didn’t stop his movements. “What do you want to eat? I’ll have the secretary bring it.”
Celia rolled her eyes. How could he not be tired? Not hungry?
It had already been six or seven hours…
Her eyes darted around, and she slipped out from under him.
While picking up the scattered clothes, she said, “I want to eat French food! The hardest–to–book
restaurant!”
Three minutes later, the secretary called.
“Mr. Curtis, we’ve cleared the restaurant.”
Matthew nodded, looking at Celia, surprised.
Celia had heard that this French restaurant was so exclusive, even the president of France would need to make a reservation in advance. Matthew actually managed to clear it?

Matthew raised an eyebrow. “I’ve bought the restaurant under your name. You can eat there
anytime.”
Celia was once again shocked by his wealth.
Matthew took advantage of the moment and pressed her back down. “n’t this more valuable than that crappy star?”
Celia furrowed her brow. Was there anything he didn’t know?
She was starting to suspect that Matthew had something to do with the fall of that “Celia” star.
“You still have the energy to daydream?” Matthew murmured. I’ve told the chef to make the food to your taste. We still have some time…”
