Chapter 7
Louie’s face darkened. “Celia! I, as the head of this household, command you to drink the soup!”
Thalia had already moved her luggage downstairs and was pretending to head out the door.
Louie panicked and quickly rushed to Celia’s side.
He lifted the bowl of soup and pinched her mouth open, forcing the soup into her.
“I don’t believe one bowl of soup will kill you!”
Celia was powerless to resist, and she was forced to drink an entire bowl of chestnut soup.
Louie finally stopped.
Celia’s legs buckled, and she collapsed back into her chair.
She choked on the soup, tears and mucus streaming down her face, coughing nonstop.
Louie didn’t even glance at her. He turned around and chased after Thalia.
After Louie comforted Thalia, Thalia, red–eyed, nestled into his arms.
As they passed Celia, Louie coldly said, “See, you’re fine, right? Stop pretending to be fragile.”
Celia’s throat was swollen, unable to speak properly. She mumbled, “911… Help…”
Louie frowned. “You’re going to be a mother soon. You should be more sensible.”
“Apologize to Thalia.”
Celia’s head was spinning, and she eventually passed out from suffocation.
Louie hadn’t expected that a bowl of chestnut soup would bring Celia to the brink of death.
In the ambulance, Louie’s face was pale and trembling.
“Celia, don’t scare me!”

Celia was rushed into the emergency room and didn’t come out until five hours later.
The doctor removed his mask and sighed, “If she had arrived a few minutes later, even the God wouldn’t have been able to save her.”
“The patient has a history of allergies. Didn’t you know?”
Louie was left speechless.
He knew, but still forced her to drink the soup that could have killed her.
Louie was filled with regret.
He stayed by her side until Celia woke up,
Her throat was still sore.
Louie held her hand. “The consequences of eating chestnuts were so serious. Why didn’t you tell
me?”
What else could she say? Should she have kneeled down and begged him?
Seeing her staring at him, Louie awkwardly turned his head away.
His phone rang, and after a brief hesitation, he answered.
“Celia’s fine. Don’t blame yourself. Don’t cry.”
Then he handed the phone to Celia. “Thalia feels guilty and wants to apologize to you in person.”
Celia put the phone to her ear.
Thalia’s voice immediately changed tone. “Celia, I heard you almost died? Louie only said a few words to me, but tell me, who does he care about more?”
“I knew you were allergic to chestnuts. I did it on purpose. You could report me to the police, but too bad you have no proof!”
Celia gripped the blanket tightly, and then she threw the phone to the ground with force.
Louie jumped up in shock.

Chapter 7
“Celia! Thalia only wanted to apologize. Why can’t you just let it go?”
Celia used all her strength to shout, “GET OUT!”
Louie’s face darkened. “I’ve hired a nurse to take care of you. You need to calm down these next few
days.*
After saying that, he picked up the broken phone and left the hospital room.
Celía signed the discharge form and left that day.
Back at the “home” she had carefully built over five years, her heart felt heavy.
Every part of the villa, from the location and decor to the sofas and even the trash bins, had been chosen by her.
The large wedding photo of Louie and her hung in the living room, both of them smiling sweetly.
But when she calculated the dates carefully, it turned out that Thalia had gotten pregnant precisely during that period.
Celía grabbed a vase from the coffee table and smashed it against the photo.
“Crash!”
The large frame fell to the ground with a loud bang, stirring up a cloud of dust.
The housekeeper rushed in at the sound, and Čelia pointed. “My husband and I will take new photos,
burn this one.”
“All the photos of my husband and I in this house, BURN THEM ALL.”
